My major opinion on the VC rp community is that I adore all the VC RPers, partly bc RP was something that I stumbled upon much later in my VC fandom experience, and I enjoy watching the different takes on these characters, I love the headcanons shared in this way! RP stuff that generates alot of FEELS gets this tag from me: damn you and your perfect headcanon perfection.

(More of my thoughts after the jump but) the BOTTOM LINE IS: Go for it, give it a try! What have you got to lose? Which character would you want to play?

HOWEVER, yes, there is some drama, as there is in all interwebs interactions. That’s just one of those things you have to have a thick skin about… haters gonna hate, but if you are having fun and not hurting anyone, I feel like all the RPers should try to coexist and keep it to RP. Any personal drama outside of RP should be kept outside of RP. 

Being shy is okay, everyone starts out unfamiliar with a new activity/hobby, taking inspiration from other RPers and making friends with them for advice might help with that. 

Keep in mind, though, that alot of the really beautifully written RPs took time to get that way, it doesn’t happen overnight! I tried to RP because I do write VC fanfic after all… *ahem* and found it too hard to edit myself, and hard to plot and respond to threads quickly; real life stuff always takes precedence. Some people are alot better at balancing that, some people can even RP at their job, or school, or wherever, and that is enviable! I do still RP in a very limited, mostly silly way.
