I really enjoyed it but haven’t felt the need to really discuss it in depth. Aesthetically great. Acting was great. The story was… I’m really at a loss for how to describe it but just thinking about it gives me chills! Good scary movie chills 😉 I have some thoughts scattered in my #crimson peak tag, along with fanart for it. 

I fully agree with what @annabellioncourt had said about it to me before I saw it:

YOU’RE GONNA LOVE CRIMSON PEAK ITS RIDICULOUS AND DARING, AND ITS FUCKED UP ENOUGH FOR ANNE RICE TO HAVE WRITTEN IT.

Aaaaand if that’s not endorsement enough, I felt like taking notes when I watched it so I could make: Lestat watches “Crimson Peak” here’s a snippet *SPOILERS*:

• My lover’s sister tried to kill me, too. Hurts, doesn’t it????!!!
• The dog is dying! Now I’m actually upset.
• “You’re monsters, both of you!” Where have I heard that before? Now this is hitting too close to home. I’M NOT CRYING YOU’RE CRYING KEEP TAKING NOTES.
• You stabbed him iN THE FACE. IN THE FACE!! Rude. What about the groundrules? Rule number 1: No touching of the hair or face… AND THAT’S IT!
