Here’s a baby Lestat for ya:

More good de Lioncourt sibling name comments:

@luanna801 said: Okay, I like Etienne and Mireille, and for the others I’m going with Laurent, Seraphin, Theophile, and Thibault. (Judging by ‘Lestat’ Gabrielle liked somewhat unusual names, so I tried to reflect that in some of these. ‘Theophile’ is also a reference to 19th-century French writer Theophile Gautier, who published one of the first vampire stories in 1836.)

@luanna801 said (re: Louis de Lioncourt): @mntyaggrssnOh man, that would’ve been awkward! I’m sure he’d get over it, but it would probably be really weird at first to be calling your lover by the same name as a sibling. (I tend to think not, though – Lestat probably would’ve mentioned it at some point if Louis had the same name as his brother.)

BUT THINK ABOUT IT

Vampire Lestat concert tees for all.

And think of the tacky shit we can do. Like I’m talking tacky in the best and most shameless way possible. Honestly this all needs to happen

“On Wednesdays we wear red velvet”

Night Island shirts/mugs/keyrings/ touristy shit.

Shirts that say “Gorgeous Fiend” and “Team Lestat”

//“You can pretend it’s wine” on a mug

“Devil’s minion” “Paint me with black wings” “No made by human hands” (or however that quote was) on T-shirts

Also “Blood wife” and “Blood husband” towels

A quick search yields lots of bland or bad VC merch, probably unauthorized (hit the jump for it, but be warned, it’s not all that tasteful):

//Ohhh the “Chateau the Lioncourt” one it’s nice… quite expensive too…

Personally, I believe that if there will be a time to make fandom merch is now. AR attitude towards the fandom has been more laid-back lately, probably because she is writing VC books again and she needs a fandom to sell them to, so as long as she is still interested in sell books it’s unlikely she will send her attorneys to sue people. But I can’t blame anyone who is suspicious of course. One way to go around the law is thinking of merch with more vague references, and so less susceptible to copyright laws. For instance:

“My sugar daddy is a vampire” or “looking for a vampire sugar daddy”
“Palazzo’s Boy”
(random really big roman number) Great Family annual meeting
Talamasca corporative t-shirts and polos
Talamasca cricket team and polo team shirts
“3rth Great Burning” commemorative t-shirt. Trinity Gate, New york.

I believe anyone in the fandom would get the references and still there are no characters names or actual quotes from the books and so no copyright infringement.

^Excellent points, I think all that would be acceptable!
