This is relevant. Lestat grew up in the Auvergne, hello?!!

Wiki:

Bleu d’Auvergne is a French blue cheese, named for its place of origin in the Auvergne region of south-central France. It is made from cow’s milk, and is one of the cheeses granted the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée from the French government.

Bleu d’Auvergne has a strong and pungent taste, but to a lesser extent than other blue cheeses; it is less salted, with a creamier and more buttery taste and a moister texture.

We get this from Whole Foods often (it’s so good stuffed on dried dates, OMG). Bought it the first time because of the place of origin, of course 🙂

Oooh, I’ll try that! Yummmm. Tonight, the cheese will be accompanied by a green apple (another fave of Lestat’s) and diet ginger-ale (standing in for white wine on a weeknight).

OF COURSE you had to buy it for the same reason I did *u*
