I dreamt last night of a strange Sg-1 episode where I was Samantha Carter. It was a ceremony for a military graduation. The Colonel Armand O’Neil came beside Marius Jackson, speaking of our last adventure on P7x983. Planet where Louis Teal’c refund his first master, Lestat Bratak …

Um I don’t watch that show, so I don’t understand any of this dream 😛 but I’m sure someone else out there gets it and will find this amusing!

^Is what I wanna do.

We know a lot about Lestat’s mother Gabrielle but what about his father. The only thing I know is that he died in IWTV (the book).

That’s a really long answer, we don’t know ALL that much about his backstory, just that he was a Marquis (never named) in a little rural village in France, so he has some local power/respect in title, but he’s really poor, is not a particularly good husband or father, he’s blind by the time Lestat is 21… and we know that he treated Lestat BADLY during his childhood. Louis described a little of his time living at Pointe du Lac in book!IWTV.

In short:

For more, read The Vampire Lestat (the Marquis is in the beginning)(gif below used for humor, not intended to be rude!) The Marquis is not mentioned again in any later book. He does not get to vampire.

There is some fanon that the Marquis’ physical abuse of Lestat extended further, but that’s not in canon. If that were true, it could be part of Lestat issues with relationships and consent.

Lestat’s Parents

and the Marquis

^This looks like them on their wedding day.

Gabrielle: *I have to marry HIM????! wtf I’m gonna die*

Marquis Valere de Lioncourt: *she’s so pretty I’m gonna bang her like a screen door in a hurricane*

Apparently I need to watch Galavant bc the images and gifs I see of King Richard are so perf as the Marquis de Lioncourt, aka Valere de Lioncourt (as named in a ~top sekrit~ fanfic). He has to be handsome, of course, and have a sense of humor, and a biting wit, a mean edge. The tree does not grow far from the apple, as they say.
