Inspired by this lovely, lovely post, and also by my need to create something Silmarillion-based—because this blog was supposed to be multi-fandomed, but, y’know, those colorful vampires kind of just shot everything to hell.
Louis as Sauron (pre-giant-floating-eye-above-Barad-dûr, of course/First Age) and Lestat as Melkor. I was initially going to draw Louis as Melkor and Lestat as Sauron because I head canon that Melkor has black hair and Sauron has blonde/reddish hair, and also because I wanted to prove the point that all my ships basically look the same—but, no, Lestat had to be Dark Lord no. 1.
Just so that it didn’t look too cross-over/AU-ish, I even added the lil pink couch again.

Thanks @monstersinthecosmos for making the list of inktoberVC, I probably couldn’t have joined this awesome event without it. Wish I could have joined to draw more for it, but I was so happy to see great fanarts almost everyday this October! Thanks to all the inktober artist too!

Does any one else think of the vampire chronicles characters, or any of their favorite characters, perhaps their own, when they are facing something daunting or extremely stressful? Kind of like a fantasy or a daydream, it just keeps you calm so you can get through the moment. If so, can you share some of those instances? I’m just curious if I’m the only one. Sometimes it feels like I am.
Definitely for me! There are times when I imagine certain characters just walking beside me on my way home from a rough day, offering advice or being quietly supportive, maybe giving reassurance telepathically or just by being present, like any close friend can give.
They let me set the pace, and their presence wards off anyone from messing with me, bc they can intimidate with a glare, or just by having that essence of danger they all carry 😉
(I also like to imagine Lestat promising me a night of retail therapy the next time he’s in town!)
