WHY THIS WOMAN WOULD RATHER READ HARRY POTTER EROTICA THAN WATCH PORN

When spoken word artist Brenna Twohy tells you that she is an unabashed devotee of all things “Potterotica” — erotic fiction based in the magical universe of Harry Potter — your response probably shouldn’t be that her taste is “unrealistic.”

Watch her full monologue here.

duendology replied to your post: BLEU DE CHANEL: Interview with Gaspard…

if you haven’t seen it already, you should definitely watch “The Vintner’s Luck”. He plays a strange angel there who has a particular interest in…wine and wine maker as well.

OuO thank you! Added to my list.

Edit: atsumistressDon’t watch the vintner’s luck – read it!!!! The film completely altered the plot and missed out the most important part! It is a fantastic story!

Noted!

carmilla + adaptions

“… and to this hour the image of Carmilla returns to mind with ambiguous alterations — sometimes the playful, languid, beautiful girl; sometimes the writhing fiend I saw in the ruined church; and often from a reverie I have started, fancying I heard the light step of Carmilla at the drawing room door.

I really like Blood and roses, The Vampire lovers and 1989 Carmilla. I would like to see The curse of Styria.

Blood and Roses” is so gorgeous. I also have to agree about “The Vampire Lovers” and the 1989 version.  I really, really wish they’d release the ‘89 one on DVD or in any format other than having to find it on VHS. It’s too good to languish in obscurity forever.  Plus, Meg Tilly is amazing as Carmilla.

ooc: You know, the world premiere of the musical was in SF–which for non-broadway weirdos means they do sort of a test run of the show before heading to Broadway–and the version I saw was pretty gay. But I have no idea what they changed when they went to NYC. Sad it didn’t do well. Loved the cast so much.

Yes, I was aware it was very well-received in SF! Hence my excitement when it was announced that it would come to NY.

Yeah I don’t know exactly what they cut, only that a lot was cut, and that the show I saw was so… bare… it just seemed very stripped down. Sets and things were not so glamorous, the singing seemed kind of limited in a way… I think there is a recording of the SF show somewhere on youtube, I should watch it for comparison.

Fortunately garama must have seen it, bc he did some fanart that was directly inspired by the musical:

ooc; Some of the songs from both the San Francisco version and the New York one are on Youtube.

SF Embrace It (such gay)

NY Embrace it (also gay)

SF To Kill Your Kind (Armand ur brutal)

Gonna guess this is NY To Kill Your Kind because that person’s other uploads were NY

NY Make Me As You Are (oedipus)

The entire NY musical apparently

Embrace It is the best thing to happen to this fandom on stage. Seriously. It is exactly 100% Louis and Lestat’s relationship.

Right Before My Eyes – Hugh Panaro – This was added for the NY version and it’s Stat pining for Nicki and trying to decide whether to give him the blood/reveal himself and it’s amazing. Also this version is very sweet and Hugh is awesome. (There is some talking before, but this is at a charity event.)

Bereczki Zoltán as Mercutio.

I just saw the captions and I knew that I had to reblog this.

what the hell is going on in this gifset because I kind of want it.

Welcome to what is ‘Romeo es Julia’, the Hungarian adaptation of Romeo et Juliette that takes place in a dystopian future and contains an epileptic Tybalt, fire, a very very very bisexual Mercutio, fire, leather, chain mail, fire, a fucking terrifying double suicide that Romeo and Juliet manage to pull off that is hella crazy, fire, blood, and fire.

DID I MENTION FIRE BECAUSE HUNGARIAN THEATRE ALWAYS HAS SOME SHIT ON FIRE I SWEAR.

Act I

Act II

Available with English subtitles.

Also, Mercutio is definitely bisexual in this and it’s my favourite thing ever.

I can’t even…

I ALWAYS READ MERCUTIO AS BI HELL YEAH
