I feel like Lestat, Jareth, Thranduil and Lucius Malfoy are all brothers from different mothers. The resemblance in appearance and attitude is uncanny. Crossover with those four is much needed.

THERE WAS AN EXCELLENT POST ABOUT THAT LIKE A YEAR AGO let me show you it! [X]

Once upon a time, there were three brothers. Their land could not hold all their egos, so they divided their kingdom into three. One ruled over the elves, one over the goblins, and the third over wizards.

@xenophonrisingThere was a fourth brother, whom the other three did not speak of. His name was Lestat, and his rule took a while to be implemented– eleven books, to be precise.

Hello! I was wondering, since you’re a VC fandom veteran, do you have any idea why old fanfic writers had a tendency to write Marius as a villain in their stories? I came across many old fics that portrayed him as insanely controlling and abusive to other characters, and I know he’s no saint but he’s a lot more ethical than a lot of others, so I was wondering, was there a time when the fans expressed so much vitriol towards him?

Ah, hmmmmmm…. I don’t remember that specifically, and I’m feeling like I should know that…

^Lee Pace as Marius bc of reasons.

… but I can surmise that since he was the only authority figure anyone paid respect to for awhile, that would naturally lead to them speculating on him abusing such status.

Which he did, somewhat, with Armand, when he took him in. I haven’t personally dissected that ship too thoroughly, so I wouldn’t know.

I’ll open this up to the group: Anyone out there have an answer for this anon?

#Prince Lestat #of the Damned

you know how you’re okay with Antonio!Armand? I’m also okay with QOTD Marius (i know I know) If only because unlike a man with long blond hair- QOTD Marius actually looks like a damn Roman!

I will defend Antonio 5ever, so I respect you (and others) for defending actors in roles that others disagree with.

You have a valid point, and I actually rather like this production still is he wearing red velvet?? (I think it’s velour but it counts!)

…and yet, we also have Lee Pace…

I liked the idea of the druids not letting him cut his hair. Something about that felt like another means of trying to break him, by taking away his ability to even choose his own grooming, they were trying to chip away at his sense of self, the better to give himself over to what they wanted him to be for them.

Maybe part of why Marius was drawn to rescue Armand from the brothel is that he could relate to the frustration of imprisonment, though his own abuse was very different from Armand’s.

I approve too! Being majestic as fuck: checked, rocking blonde hair: checked, looking down at everybody: checked! Perfect cast. 😉 I also admit that I’ve used him as a reference for Marius fanart at least twice 😉

Yep. Lee Pace as Thranduil = Marius de Romanus.
