^It’s our Widow St. Clair! ;A;

“She had an incredible talent, a sort of compulsive creativity,” said Jim O’Quinn, a fellow performer and frequent collaborator. “She was an artist in her heart and soul, and she lived the life of an artist. She wanted to transform life experiences into art.”

…She also appeared in movies such as “Hard Times,” “Everybody’s All-American” and “Interview With the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles,” in which Tom Cruise broke her neck – in character, as Lestat, the vampire.

“He was very careful and concerned not only about how he would break my neck, but how it would read on camera,” Ms. Owen said in a Times-Picayune interview. “He is the consummate professional film actor.”

This is pretty sad… also a reminder that even the vampires in the movie are mortal, too ;A;

Is it possible that they like recycle the jewels from the old lady with the poodles and gave them to Claudia during the ball scene? They look so similar!

Good eye! It’s not exactly the same, but very similar.

It’s worth mentioning that Claudia and that widow have some things in common:

  • wearing yellow.
  • blonde (well the poodle lady probably dyes it, but it counts).
  • they both seem to be pretty in love with Louis who isn’t?
  • Louis almost kills them.

In the book, the dress Claudia dies in is actually yellow silk *cries* And in the book, Lestat would occasionally bring Claudia jewelry from his victims bc he’s all about not letting things go to waste 😉

How about this, though: Louis wears the same two rings for his ENTIRE AFTERLIFE.

Yesterday my friend pointed out something I’d forgotten: papillon (the dog in Crimson Peak is a papillon) means “butterfly” in French.

Goddammit!  Even the dog fits the theme!

I love it!

Look who’s eating the papillons here!

“My papillons, my butterflies, you killed them, ohhh nooo!”
