Hi! Just wondering, do you know if Anne Rice has mentioned any ideal casting for Armand like she has for Lestat? Björn Andrésen is the prettiest person I have ever seen and I can’t imagine anyone better but has she ever suggested anything?

Not that I know of, but I agree, Björn would have been great, but he’s too old now! *cries*

Does anyone follow AR on FB who knows if she’s mentioned anyone she might like? I don’t always agree with her reccs on this topic, tho. She wanted Matthew Bomer for Louis and I just can’t agree. Yes, he looks great in a suit, and he’s cute and all, but he’s too manly, he has a kind of ballsy confidence that’s overshooting Louis.

i-want-my-iwtv So, back in 2010 she named Simon Woods for Armand (and Matthew MacFadyen for Marius, along with Richard Armitage for Lestat and Matt Bomer for Louis, god help us).

Here’s Simon Woods and Matthew MacFadyen (yes, yes, we are talking Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy lol)…

And more Simon…

Thanks for the followup @luthi69! I’m open-minded. They could do great 😀

//mun has a question

amadeo-child-of-the-renaissance:

I’m in Munich (again) and the-savage-nymph-art promised to shoot me in my florentine renaissance outfit. Just some VC-Halloween pictures in my Amadeo-cosplay.

So here is my question:

Do you have any suggestions/ideas for pictures?
Please send an ask. I’m feeling a little uncreative at the moment.

i have an old oil lamp, some fake white lilies, fake blood and a few other things at hand for props. You can also suggest random things and I’ll see if I can find them.
I don’t know which location we’ll choose yet.
Maybe the facade of a baroque monastery, some other pretty piece of architecture or a fountain… we’ll see. I’m also open for suggestions.

OuO send this mun some Armand ideas for cosplay!

But can we please talk about Armand’s
(actually Andrei’s) Monastery of the Caves because it’s a real place!

Kiev Pechersk Lavra also
known as the Kiev Monastery of the Caves, is a historic Orthodox Christian monastery which gave its name to one of the city districts where it is located in Kiev. It was created in the early 11th century by an Orthodox monk named Anthony. He chose a cave at the Berestov Mount that
overlooked the Dnieper River. The Kiev Pechersk Lavra caverns are a very
complex system of narrow underground corridors (about 1-1½ metres wide and 2-2½ metres high), along with
numerous living quarters and underground chapels.

Even
found a small interview with one of the actual modern monks, who said “The monk is actually a person who,
ideally, should not face the world for he is constantly talking to God. Therefore, he goes underground, he buries himself
alive by digging his own grave – that is, his cell. And when the real death comes, the
cave takes his body for perpetual storage. Therefore,
every cave monastery is a kind of underground necropolis”.

I honestly have no idea how I’ve never researched this, but I finally have a visual and detailed reference and I’m SO happy.
