Claudia de Pointe du Lac et de Lioncourt

My first real attempt in aquarelle-colours.

I had planned on something more like… ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, but it ended up being ‘Little Dead Stabbing Claudia’ so to speak…Sometimes I don’t even know what I am scetching until it’s done.

It was fun and I think I might be getting the hang of Aquarelle. At least I like working with it. My favourite part was colouring the lips ^-^

I used reference for the face, since I’m not very good at childrens features yet. You know, proportions and stuff. And I wanted her to actually look her age, BUT with lipstick XD

InktoberVC days 4 and 16 – Blood Tears and a scene that make sure you cry.

Just a quick sketch. I haven’t really taken part in InktoberVC cause I’m not very confident drawing book characters but this popped into my head and wouldn’t leave

Inktober day 18: a rare pair
I’ve always imagined that Sybelle and Antoine would get along great, and they’d be cute together, anyways. Imagine them just talking the night away about the piano? And maybe Antoine would play his violin for Sybelle, or they’d play together and fill the chateau with beautiful music 🎶

I took him in my arms, oh, so cold, so unyielding, this monster which I had made out of human flesh.” Lestat—The Tale of the Body Thief.

(psst, so sry for being a flake and missing the last two days! but y’know, classes.)

Ever since I read George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion,” I became interested in that whole Pygmalion and Galatea Greek myth. In case anyone doesn’t know—the story is about a sculptor and how he fashions a statue of his ideal woman because he finds all real women repulsive. He ends up enamored with his creation, and prays to Aphrodite to breathe life into her; she does so, only to get him to shut up. They live happily ever after.

Anyway, whenever I think about the myth, I refuse to believe Galatea (the statue) was content to just be so complacent. It’s why I drew Louis’ face so disturbed. Just my take on it! Also, whenever I think about that quote ^^ up there, it just brings to mind the story.

InktoberVC—Day 15: Vampires as your favorite myth!
