I will soon begin my work on this project as 2D artist, working first time on a game project. Like the images here shows, it has elements I love the most in fiction: fantasy and horror, macabre atmosphere and creatures, all in the same package.

But, as a fan who went through the entire “Oh God the fandom is gone because our writer is Some Crazy Bitch Who Sues Her Fans” thing, I’m pretty sure that a random person sending you fan mail doesn’t mean you are going to jail. Tumblr will delete your blog before that happens.

Fairly certain that everything devilsfool wrote above is correct. Tumblr can pull your blog at the request of the copyright holder. You’re not going to jail. If it’s a legit C&D, all they want is the material removed. Little do they realize that it’s been reblogged all over the damn place and downloaded, and copied and pasted into documents offline, there IS NO COMPLETE REMOVAL of a blog’s output!
I happen to care immensely about the issues of copyright, fair use, intellectual property, etc. and also about the rights of fanartists to make fanworks. Because I adore fanworks. Because I adore the fandom who creates and enjoys fanworks.
And because I make fanworks, too. If this is legit I’m actually surprised they didn’t go after me first, this blog is far more offensive than lestatdelight’s. Anyone who knows this person, please help me get in touch with them so I can get more info about the whole situation from them. ooc; So, I really, really passionately hate asking for things, and unfortunately, this is the second time in a year that I’ve had to post about veterinary bills.
This is Spice. She’s my dad’s cat, she’s almost eight years old, and she’s a sweetheart. She’s been really sick. A trip to the veterinarian revealed that she’d been retaining fluid in her abdomen and that her white blood cell count was through the roof. It all happened very suddenly. The veterinarian has diagnosed her with peritonitis in the abdomen, though we’re still not sure of the exact cause. There’s a chance it could be FIP.
She had to have an emergency surgery that’s required hospitalization at the vet’s. Our bill thus far is over $900.
Money has been really tight this past year and I’ve already almost maxed out my credit cards. My dad has been in and out of the hospital this year and hasn’t been able to work due to his disabilities. I’m his primary caregiver. I work two jobs and a good chunk of my money goes to covering his medications, insurance, and groceries. I sincerely would not ask for money if I didn’t truly need it. Getting Spice back to good health is so important to us. She’s a precious cat that we love dearly.
I’m willing to make graphics or do drabble requests in return for any money donated. Any little bit helps.

I know I JUST reblogged a $ignal boost thing in the last 24 hrs, and
I try not to do these too often for obvious reasons. I do know this person, the mun is a wonderful person with an enormous heart who has been called the “Mom” of our fandom on occasion for all she does to try to promote fanartists and encourage peace and friendship here, but that’s not a factor here.
I’m fortunate that I have a job, and can afford to be financially supportive
when possible.

Okay guys, I know everyone is tired of seeing these posts, but I really have no where else to go. The pictures above are from the house that my family was recently forced to move into. It’s in terrible condition, and would honestly probably be condemned if someone were to inspect it. This is the only possible place for my family to stay, and we desperately need money to make it livable.
To add some backstory, I live with my disabled mother–her back and legs don’t function properly and she has to use a walker/wheelchair–my 13 year old sister, and my partner. Recently, my mother was able to get a divorce from her very abusive husband (My father was physically, mentally, and sexually abusive towards my mother, as well as mentally abusive towards me.). After their split, we were forced to move from place to place–first a motel, then a trailer, then my Great Grandmother’s house. We stayed with my Great Grandma for almost 3 years before she recently decided that she didn’t want us staying with her anymore (I can only guess 2 transgenders and a queer 13 year old were too much for her Christian sensibilities.), and she kicked us out on the street.
For a week we had no place to go. We were homeless. Eventually, my Grandmother was able to salvage a house that she owns for us to stay in; and while I’m so grateful to have a place for my family to stay, daily life in this house is impossible. There are holes in all the walls, some as big as my head; the ceiling is falling down in the hall, laundry room, and bathroom; the floor is rotted in places and cracked from the shifting foundation in others; the list just goes on and on. Pictured above, in order:
-A hole in the bathroom wall. My hand for size comparison. -Holes above me and my partner’s bed. -The broken cooktop, which doesn’t work at all, and the scorchmarks from where it caught on fire. -The bathroom, after we cleaned it. The shower is moldy, the paint is peeling, and the floor behind the toilet is rotted. -One of the many cracks left from the foundation shifting apart. -The missing bit of ceiling in the laundry room.
There are so many more problems that can’t be photographed–like the fact that the microwave is the only working appliance or the fact that the laundry room has caught on fire once since we’ve been here.
I’m really at my wits end. We’ve all tried so hard to get jobs, but it’s proved impossible with my mother’s disability and my severe GAD. We desperately need money to fix at least a few of these problems. Any sort of donation we could get would help–even if it’s just $5 to go towards some patches to cover the holes in the walls.

Seattle-area peeps! A dear friend and her kitty are in need of housing help! Do you have a spare room that a nice, geeky lady and her smart cat could stay in for a few (up to six) months? They come with about $200 a month to help with rent & bills.
(I have a whole rant about the lack of a working social safety net in this country, but said rant won’t help my friend find a place to stay that doesn’t involve fostering her kitty and her couch-surfing.)

I wasn’t even sure what to title this fund and I’ve always been a little reluctant to ask for help but I’ve had a friend convince me to do this. My parents had been separated earlier this year and I was living with my mother who tends to be very emotionally abusive towards me and I’ve finally been forced to move out of the house for the sake of my own sanity.
Last year I was diagnosed with general anxiety, social anxiety, depression and borderline bipolar disorder which is being monitored still. I had to leave that house because I was constantly having anxiety and breaking down.
I’m currently living in temporary housing until my situation gets sorted out and working part time (between 8-10 hours) a week and it’s not enough to pay my insurance, bills and buy groceries and such for myself.
