ooc; This is my little brat, Sunny. He’s a rambuncious little guy that I rescued as a kitten. He loves to run across the house, chase his tail, romp around, and generally get into trouble.
Somehow, Sunny completely tore a ligament in his knee. To put it simply, his tibia is constantly coming dislocated and if you were to touch it, you could easily move the bone in all sorts of unnatural directions. He hasn’t been able to put any weight on his leg, and it’s obvious he’s suffering from a great deal of pain. The only thing that will fix it is surgery, and it needs to happen sooner than later.
I passionately hate asking for things, and had to be nudged by a friend to even make a Go Fund Me. But times are tough right now. I’m trying to care for my older parents and I work in an industry where there isn’t much work (and thus, money) that comes in throughout the winter months.
I’m certainly not expecting to get the whole surgery covered, but I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. If anyone wants a theme or graphics or a drabble written in return, I’m more than happy to do so.
It’s an awful truth that suffering can deepen us, give a greater luster to our colors, a richer resonance to our words. That is, if it doesn’t destroy us, if it doesn’t burn away the optimism and the spirit, the capacity for visions, and the respect for simple yet indispensable things.
