//Oohoho. Just finished Ch 8. THE PLOT THICKENS! But seriously tho I’m enjoying this so much, so many wonderful details. You guys are doing a gr8 job. I always thought this was one of the very few fandoms where you COULDN’T make a coffee shop AU work, but… it’s working!! (Loving the angst too. Even in a coffee shop AU, these idiot boys manage to fuck everything up, lmao.)

@wicked-felina and I are trying to include as many canon-compliant details as we can (hello Armand flirting w/ the blender, lol), and I personally have to satisfy my RL best friend who is a coffee aficionado (gotta prove to her that we know wtf we’re writing about, lol)… We’re using most of the ideas we come up with but we do have some spin-off chapters that may come later when the fic is finished.

…Psssst we would also love fanart of any of it, if anyone is so inspired…

^This is why it’s working, bc we’re absolutely devoted to keeping them as IC as possible. Some canon-diversion has been necessary, and being AU, it’s naturally got a more comical bent, but yeah… we’re trying to keep them IC ;D

Yeah, the war on fanfic crushed us in the 90′s + AR’s war on her fandom (and critics in general) in the early 2000′s drove us all underground, and only recently are things picking back up. We are making fanworks tho, you can check out our recent blast of them from our @vcsecretgifts exchange, the #2016 VC Secret Santa… and also:

Merciiiii! We are loving writing it, too, some of the scenes, it’s as if we’re right there with them, witnessing the drama firsthand. I’m not sure I can let @wicked-felina go back to writing her solo stuff too soon after this is finished…

AAAAHHHH this is WONDERFUL this fandom is so good and so pure, thank you for illustrating the ridiculous coffeeshop AU idea. I will totally write something for this (after I finish my VC secret santa thing). I love both their attitudes and how Lestat is surrounded by a bubble of incomprehensible pet names/low key come ons and I am 1000% sure this is how Lestat appears to Louis at all times. All times.

PS: YOU ARE THE BEST

I loved the new chapter, but ahhh, why can’t all my babies just get along??? Lol. I can almost imagine the four of them going on a double date. Sounds like the definition of disaster.

We’re both a little preoccupied with RL for NYE but should be posting more soon. Lots of notes and sections have been written, just gotta keep up the momentum on it ;D

Gotta say, when you’re reading a given chapter, we’ve actually both combed over it quite a bit; it’s not alternating between authors! We share similar headcanons and agree on a lot of things, our writing styles mesh well and we flail over eachothers ideas. She has a talent for witty dialogue, finding and moving the plot along at a good pace, and I love to set the tone with place setting, visuals, the texture of things. We’re very complementary ❤
