Lyla Hay Owen, actress and bedrock of local theater, dies at 84

^It’s our Widow St. Clair! ;A;
“She had an incredible talent, a sort of compulsive creativity,” said Jim O’Quinn, a fellow performer and frequent collaborator. “She was an artist in her heart and soul, and she lived the life of an artist. She wanted to transform life experiences into art.”
…She also appeared in movies such as “Hard Times,” “Everybody’s All-American” and “Interview With the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles,” in which Tom Cruise broke her neck – in character, as Lestat, the vampire.
“He was very careful and concerned not only about how he would break my neck, but how it would read on camera,” Ms. Owen said in a Times-Picayune interview. “He is the consummate professional film actor.”

This is pretty sad… also a reminder that even the vampires in the movie are mortal, too ;A;

@vinceaddams replied to your photo “Found this on pinterest (actual source is Bloody Vampire Fangs…”
It always annoys me when I see fang marks placed like that instead of vertically. Just picture how awkward the position of vampire’s head would be!
S A M E.
In the movie when fledgling!Louis is really trying to vampire properly and he’s looking for a good spot to bite, you can almost seem him go, “Yeah no, this angle? Bad spot, no, um maybe this angle? Nope…” It’s like someone learning how to kiss, poor Louis ;A; and it’s even funnier bc it’s Brad frickin’ Pitt who you would assume would be a professional at Making Out and hickey delivery, but the character is hella uncomfortable having to do this at all so none of that applies!

My mom’s friend adopted this lovely dog after he was abandoned by his previous family. His name is Shaun. Shaun had always been very good at eating all his food. Every last bit that was, he ate it. One day he started leaving a little bit behind. He wouldn’t eat everything, no matter what. He always left a little behind. Every morning when my mom’s friend checked Shaun’s bowl, the food was gone. That was very strange, because Shaun always spent the night by her side.
One night she decided to investigate the food situation. She waited quietly by the food bowl and then, in the middle of the night, a cat came through the window and ate the remaining food. She noticed the cat was actually pregnant. A week or so later the cat came into her house and gave birth to 6 little kittens. Shaun took care of them as if they were his own babies. My mom’s friend adopted the cat too (her name is Meow) and they took care of the kittens until they all found a loving home. Nowadays Meow and Shaun live happily together as a family and they each have their little bowl of food.
