Despite the neat, museum-like aesthetic, this room looks the most lived in. The tables are made of glass. The walls are painted a deep blue. The furniture is modern with square edges and rounded edges jutting out in strange places. But there are indents worn into the cushions and there are books with markers on the end table. There’s also an aquarium along one wall, filled with tropical fish. 

A big screen television is hangs on the wall above an entertainment center that has all of the latest video game systems. A black basket holds remotes and controllers. A shelf of board games sits off the side. 

♛ Lestat had caught a glimpse of the aquarium from the doorway and was immediately drawn to it. He grasped Daniel’s arm and tugged him into the room with him as he admired the beautifully lit ecosystem. Enormous, it was, and there were even areas of blacklighting, in which some of the creatures seemed packed with different pastel shades of bioluminescence, fins translucent as glass. 

“Marvelous tank you have here, Daniel.” Lestat nodded courteously to his host. “Oh, and I must say also, I believe the ‘99 Syrah was very well done.” Lestat raised his half-full glass and drained it. Not just blood, but a spiked concoction with wine and something else… Lestat couldn’t quite detect the drug, but the overall effect had certainly eased his tense mood. Perhaps it was no more a drug than actually enjoying being welcomed so warmly into the presence of his coven. For they were HIS coven, after all.
