Older piece from forever ago for Slime book. Sad I missed out on the last monster anthology, maybe next time ❤ Really enjoy entering themed books. Candle wax slime ❤ -COEY! ___
which one makes coffee for the other every morning
which one picks up the pizza
which one likes their music on full volume
which one complains about the crumbs on the bed
which one is ticklish
which one sings and which one plays the music
which one proposes
-Louis hogs the blankets.
-Lestat prefers Louis’s hair long but he does like to brush it.
-Lestat makes coffee because they both like the scent.
-No pizza.
-Lestat, of course.
-No Crumbs.
-Louis says “Ticklishness is a sign of unresolved sexual tension” as he tickles Lestat.
-Lestat does both, though Louis will sing when the mood strikes him.
-Neither; marriage is a human contract; their bond is what’s important to them.
(Why are so many of the questions about food?)
Additionally: Coffee preference is for French varieties, sometimes they bring imported Parisienne or Cafe du Monde coffee on trips to feel more at home outside of NOLA.
In bed, most of the time Lestat is the big spoon, but also loves being the little spoon when Louis initiates it. Occasionally, especially on very hot nights when they kick the sheets away, they end up falling asleep in strange positions with limbs flopped over torsos, like Adam & Eve in OLLA.
This is a photo of our beloved dog Tank who left this earth forever this morning We are so sad to have had to let him go and our family is diminished with his loss. Rest in peace, you dear, sweet dog; we will miss you forever.
“I’m getting into the coffin and you will lie down on top of me if you know what’s good for you.” Now, I’m quoting directly from Louis’ insipid novel in which he provides the barest skeleton of how this scene actually played out. It was really quite romantic on my part, while he on the other hand was being a prissy baby.
I dislike how dismissive he is. He is fully aware of the power of his words and how easily he can slice through me with either his voice or his silence and he uses it wantonly. He is cruel and, at times, utterly passionless.
At the same time, I love his sharpened jaw and how it clenches when he’s angry or biting back a laugh. I love the seductiveness in his smallest gestures— a lifted hand, a tilt of his head, legs crossing. His wit continues to leave me speechless even after so long knowing him; I never tire of hearing his voice, or his thoughts on things, though I might seem impatient or mocking. I love when he reads out loud to me. I love his spirit, morose as i can be— I’m afraid this is becoming rather sickly sweet, so I’ll end it here.
Every character I draw looks like me after a while. It’s about 50% shades and 50% about that he’s Irish.
I’ve often thought this about your art, too. And your writing. Your characters do resemble you. They have presence on the page, like all great actors. I haven’t had the chance to meet you IRL, I’ve only heard your voice, but I think I can state that YOU, by proxy through your works, have presence.
Gonna take a moment to sing your praises, please accept that it’s bc you do deserve praise:
I love your drawing style. Specifically, the sense of proportion and dimension of the bodies and clothing, the clean basics of settings, the expressiveness in the faces (even when trying to mask w/ aviators!) is magnetic and endearing.
The dialogue you give your characters is sharp and in character, opening up intriguing avenues of consideration framed in your headcanon. Even the font is visually appealing.
I’m sure I’m not alone in the wish for you to be able to sit and draw and write and snuggle in bed with fresh pizza and be financially stable (surplused would be even better!) and accept that you are loved and admired from afar by many people… and it’s not even the number of people who love and admire you that’s important here. It’s what we all have in common. Varying degrees of healthy addiction to YOU.
Isn’t that what Following is about? We follow people throughout different platforms (FB, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.) in order to be fed from those people who make us think, remind us to dream, give us that little jolt of pleasure at their latest creative output, thought, discussion topic, selfie…
So that’s why I follow you. I’d bet your other followers would say something similar. Or have more reasons. Both.
REPLETE WITH CUTE KITTIES (who are totally doing a Lestat/Louis thing, amirite?)
That’s really very lovely of you. It’s really unbelievably touching and sweet and nice. Thank you. And I think you’re right about following. My choices are usually informed by similar things.
*u* good! Exactly what I hoped you’d get out of it.
