Also, please be respectful of my blog, I would prefer if ppl do not reblog/comment on this with links to it or offers to share it. I’m sure it will be free online eventually… I just don’t want to get looped into legal trouble for sharing that kind of information, so I’ll delete the post if I see anything like that happening 😛

LOVED chapter 4 (: do you guys upload chapters very frequently?

Thank you so much! @wicked-felina and I are so touched by the feedback we’ve been getting on it, it’s keeping us excited about it, too.

We’re both a little preoccupied with RL for NYE but should be posting more soon. Lots of notes and sections have been written, just gotta keep up the momentum on it ;D

Gotta say, when you’re reading a given chapter, we’ve actually both combed over it quite a bit; it’s not alternating between authors! We share similar headcanons and agree on a lot of things, our writing styles mesh well and we flail over eachothers ideas. She has a talent for witty dialogue, finding and moving the plot along at a good pace, and I love to set the tone with place setting, visuals, the texture of things. We’re very complementary ❤

Hey, did you see The Tenors’ cover of ‘Who Want to Live Forever’ music video? It’s very IWTV like (I love it).

Wow, good rec, anon! Got the aesthetic down, the right amount of candles, locket w/ a girl’s face in it, torches! Angsting, damp, long-haired brunet men in period costume! And a violin too! Nice.

You know in Interview With The Vampire Louis talks about having ran into Lestat broken in their old home – while in The Vampire Lestat Lestat says it never happened? What’s your thoughts on it? Was Lestat too damaged to remember at the time? Was Louis kicking sand in Lestat’s face to get him to come to him?

Ooooh good question! In IWTV, Louis says that he did visit Lestat (and it was in the movie).

We have #unreliable narrators and it’s hard to say whether it happened, or happened in a different way than described…

They do agree that Lestat was in hiding and pretty decrepit. Louis describes Lestat as being holed up in some crumbling old house some short distance away from their old Rue Royale flat, which Lestat does confirm in TVL:

“And I spent the last years of the 1800s in complete seclusion in the old Garden District a block from the Lafayette Cemetery, in the finest of my houses, slumbering beneath towering oaks.”

I answered it more in depth on this postin which I said that I trusted Louis’ account. Lestat refusing to kill a baby would be in character for him. That Louis would invent this just whole scene to provoke Lestat out of hiding is less in character for him, but possible. He did leave a lot out, and leaving out information is lying by omission.

Your headcanon may be that it happened, and someone else’s may be that it didn’t. Even if AR says one way or the other, there are readers who will still hold onto their own headcanon. #Your headcanon may vary on this one.

Lestat I need some advice. My cousin (who is very close to me) is currently in jail. We don’t know if she really murdered someone, or if she was only an accessory. She wants me to write her letters while shes there. However, I dont know if I should. While she and I are close she is scary and I don’t want the letters to be something that tells her that what she did was okay. What do I do?

♛Do the thing! Why not write to her? If you’re so close with your cousin, I can tell you that visits and letters can mean the world to someone who is otherwise cut off from it, whether by their own choice or not.

Perhaps what she did was in fact “okay” given her circumstances at the time. Could have been self-defense, or defense of someone who needed it. You might consider drawing out more of the facts in your letters with her.

Whether she’s scary or not, and whatever her level of guilt, if you care about her, keep the connection. You can always stop when you have more information.

I just finished TVL screaming, the epilogue was so 10/10 and ahhhh he got Louis back and OMG THAT CLIFFHANGER ENDING I can’t even. I loved it when he was like “Louis, you can come with me, but get rid of the sweater” and Gabrielle showed up to kick ass and all the family Lioncourt banter. There was one part where Lestat said that he and Louis would act out Shakespeare for Claudia. Best vampire dads ever. Like where is the art for that because I desperately need it!!! Sorry it’s kinda a rant oops

That’s the kind of reaction I love seeing! I’m sure AR would be very happy w/ your reactions, too ;]

As for fanart of “Lestat said that he and Louis would act out Shakespeare for Claudia. Best vampire dads ever” yes we do always need more but enjoy THIS:

So…let me be sure I have this right: the antagonists in PLROA are, it turns out, avian aliens upset that mammals have evolved to be the dominant species on Earth? So they’re *birds*? And they’re *angry*? Oh dear God.

[I can’t answer this w/o the ask itself already being a spoiler, but tbh I’m not really as worried about spoiling ppl re: this book bc C’MON we all know alot of the spoilery stuff by now!]

Tbh my reading of PLROA has stalled again ;A; I’m sorry! It’s worth it tho, as I may or may not be furiously working on a Coffeeshop AU w/ one of my absolute fave ficwriters behind the scenes…

From what I understand, yes. We have an Angry Birds situation, that’s where all the pain and suffering on earth comes from.

So I was reading PLROA when my mom started telling me about how in college/in the mountains she got into all the Wicca/witchcraft stuff and one of the guys in her “coven” made everyone call him Lestat. He was kinda insane and tried to get everyone to believe he had like special powers and stuff. And now I can’t read my book without laughing and thinking about that. Lol. Like where is “lestat” today?

Lol that was a wild ride… there are alot of Lestats out there…
