@laurasking submitted: I headcanon that when he’s out driving his Bentley (or other expensive cars), Armand carries a driver’s license that gives his name as So-and-so the Third, while the vehicle registration is in the name of So-and-so the Second…so any cop who pulls him over assumes he’s joyriding in daddy’s car.

Yep, believable. Armand loves to f*ck with ppl’s perception of him!

Hey ppl, any ideas for good pseuds for Armand?

does Armand not have a last name?

I don’t recall that he ever mentioned having a last name, or that he took on Marius’ last name at any point…

Opening this up to anyone, was Armand ever given or has he ever mentioned taking on any specific last names? I can’t even think if he’d ever shared aliases, as Lestat often does…

Honestly, anyone in winter fashion is so immediately endearing. I love using pictures as desktops and phone backgrounds so image manips or fanart of this kind of theme would be excellent.

Well I hope this makes a good wallpaper! We’ve got the gang in winter gear circa post-QTOD, having a romp in the snow in Paris (or wherever!)… who’s responsible for crashing the boy’s sled is up for debate okay fine it’s Lestat, but to be fair, Daniel was probably messing with his concentration… Gabrielle is a much safer sled-driver, hence Louis rides with her ;D

They’re not sledding in daylight, there’s just really powerful lighting on the mountain. REALLY powerful.

  • Lestat – Martin Rolinski
  • Daniel – River Phoenix
  • Armand – Bjorn Andresen
  • Gabrielle – Michelle Pfeiffer
  • Louis – Brad Pitt

Am I the only one that totally saw Armand just like Yurio (Plisetsky)? Both smol cynical RUSSIAN teenagers with issues/angst. (Familiar???) Longer hair, angelic, sometimes cruel but at the same time you can’t help but love them.

Indeed, I had that thought, too! The resemblance is uncanny…

I’m sure someone could write up a more elaborate comparison of these two, but I’m drained, can’t do it. Anyone is welcome to reblog/comment on this!

I really despise Armand, I don’t even know why. I have this hatred for his character. But everyone in the fandom seems to like him…

Are you the Anon who hated Armand from a month ago? Too bad you’re both on Anon bc you could form a club!

[textmeme by armandromanus, who deactivated so I can’t link to it]

Noone says you have to like all the characters, some are in fact antagonists in some stories and protagonists in others, and everything in between, and they can change over time. What AR is telling us is that labeling someone “bad” or “good” or “crazy” is a limitation. Life is not so black and white.

You don’t know why you despise Armand, but you say “everyone in the fandom seems to like him…” Consider this: some ppl dislike a character just because so many other ppl like them. I didn’t like the Beatles at all for a long time just bc so many other ppl liked them, and I wanted to feel like I had my own special taste. I listened to some of their hits, then some more, really gave them a chance… and well… turns out, I like the Beatles.

Give him more of a chance or don’t. Not everyone loves him but he has plenty of fandom love.

I can totally see Lestat coming home, walking into his music room and seeing Armand dramaticly displaying himself on the piano. Giving Lestat a fake surprised look and going ‘Oh, you’re home!?’. Someone please draw this?

I’m sure you meant smtg less tasteful than this, but oh well I tried…

[X] BTW its not easy to find a pic of Bjorn Andresen smiling.

Armand is the best at masking his presence/thoughts because he had centuries of practice hiding his heart from Santino.

Armand may be one of the best of the coven at his mind gifts, true. Lestat is very intimidated by Armand’s abilities ;D

I had to think about this a lot, maybe I’m misreading your comment. Hiding his heart from Santino (& Co.) for centuries? I’m not sure if he could do that.

I would need to reread TVA. Just because Armand may not have believed in that religion, he may have eventually had feelings for his “teachers” there, and shared his heart to some extent. Why else be so passionate about trying to get rid of Lestat in TVL, so the Children of Darkness could go on with business as usual? If Armand was really that miserable, he could have killed himself, but he didn’t. When he became a coven master himself, he would have had even more freedom to do so if he really wanted to.
