WHY THIS WOMAN WOULD RATHER READ HARRY POTTER EROTICA THAN WATCH PORN

When spoken word artist Brenna Twohy tells you that she is an unabashed devotee of all things “Potterotica” — erotic fiction based in the magical universe of Harry Potter — your response probably shouldn’t be that her taste is “unrealistic.”

Watch her full monologue here.

Hello, I was recently searching for ️Louis/Lestat fanfiction and came across someone saying that Anne ordered that there be no VC Fanfics online and I was wondering if this was true or not. If so, when did she say this and is this still in effect? Also, I write VC fanfics on Wattpad and you can find me @thevampirechronicles (: Also, I freaking adore your blog!

Hellooo there, thank you for the compliment! Fanfic?? there’s no such thing as VC fanfic… pfffft. What are you crazy honestly??!

^Lestat is laughing bc he knows I is sarcastic.

In short, Anne Rice had waged war on VC fanfic in the mid-90s, sic’ing her lawyers on many fanfic writers, eventually breaking apart fanfic sites (“speculative fiction” or “spec” archives/communities) and driving many of these writers to stop writing altogether or do so in a more underground way.

Currently, she’s had conflicting stances on fanfic, but hasn’t made outright war at nearly that level. We try not to tag her in discussions of it, basically, we don’t try to provoke her by making our caches of VC fanfic known. Especially on Facebook, where she’s very active and might see it (and definitely don’t send her any links to fanfic!!)

There are a few fanfic sites where ppl have been writing freshly!!, one of my faves is Archive of Our Own (aka AO3). Lots of good things about that site, one of which is the ability to bookmark/download/comment/kudos fics. They also have a mission statement about protecting these fanworks from copyright infringement arguments.

I checked out your wattpad collection, didn’t have a chance to read any in full, but you’ve got unique ideas and crossovers. I’d suggest reposting to AO3, it seems to be a more heavily fan-trafficked site.

2. A Sense of Foreboding – orleans_vl – Interview With the Vampire (1994), Vampire Chronicles – Anne Rice, Vampire Chronicles – All Media Types [Archive of Our Own]

A very wounded Lestat appears at Armand’s place in Paris, before Armand has decided what to do about the two vampires from the New World and their mysterious backstory. One thing is for sure, Armand would love to keep one of them for himself… at least for a little while. Lestat is unwilling to share.

In spite of this, there is an undercurrent of brotherhood between Lestat and Armand, and Armand does offer Lestat a little kindness.

1. Learning Process – orleans_vl – Vampire Chronicles – All Media Types, Vampire Chronicles – Anne Rice [Archive of Our Own]

From Armand’s POV, post-QotD. Early morning (probably at Night Island) by the fireplace, Armand and Daniel share a moment together by the fireside. Daniel wants to know why Armand insists on learning about technology, and has other questions.

Basically: mostly Armand/Daniel fluff/angst with light sexytimes for dessert!

This is an archival account set up for fic author “orleans.” She has long since disappeared into the great unknown space of RL, but we who have permission to upload her works are doing so to preserve them for the VC fandom. Enjoy her works!

Hey Burnadette, do you or your followers know of any fanfic featuring Petronia? She’s such a great character that the other night I found myself considering re-reading Blackwood Farm just to spend more time with her, and that was a bad book that did badly by her. Sigh. I’d appreciate any pointers!

Petronia is a great character! That would be a good reason for a BF reread.

I haven’t seen any fic featuring her, myself, so I’ll throw this out to the fandom.

what if hannibal told cheesy jokes instead of implying cannibalism?

The Vampire Lestat would appreciate the hell out of those jokes, that’s what.

if one could maybe be induced to eat the other? i might watch this show

#i’m guessing vampire chap could win against Dr Lector in a fight

I reckon so, but Lestat might be inclined to play with him for a while first, and Lector wouldn’t make it easy for him.

Dammit, I’d pay money to see/read this. Where is the fanfic on this topic? AO3 only has this, which isn’t quite what I’m looking for but does include the following lines:

“Look, Dr. Lecter, I checked you out.  You are an expensive psychiatrist so you must be good. I needed an appointment right away and you were all booked up, so I improvised. Did you hear me say I was a vampire?”

“Yes, I’m Lithuanian, not deaf.”

and:

Hannibal fumes silently. He needs to be careful until he knows what this disturbed and disturbing creature has done with Will. Hannibal no longer doubts he is indeed sitting across from a real vampire. He also
acknowledges since Lestat is already dead he won’t even taste very good…

ok, what? that sounds amazing.. vampire fop needs an appointment asap, so he books himself in, and Dr L just snarks at him? excellent

“And you are stressing me out, Doctor Lecter. Do you really want to antagonize a stressed out vampire? What is to be done about that?” – Interview with a Cannibal or Appointment with a Vampire

THIS IS GR9 I LOVE IT!

The Art of the Vampire at its Peak in the year 1876: Armand’s Lesson

Printed in Playboy magazine, January 1979, By Anne Rice

The book “Interview with the Vampire” as published form represents only a portion of the tapes of that interview made by the reporter. Louis told the young man much that was not included, particularly with regard to the master vampire, Armand, whom he had met in Paris. One tale was Armand’s account of his methods of seduction; that is, the art of the vampire at its peak in the year 1876.

(Someone kill me, this is one of the sexiest things I’ve ever read, and I just keep thinking of Louis retelling this to Daniel and GODDAMN).

ooc; I love how Armand calls himself Gentleman Death in this.  What a Lestat poser.

I love this though, and somehow always forget it exists.

It also pleases me that it goes along with my headcanon that there were things Louis told Daniel that didn’t get put in the book.
