[The vampires in the theatre] can’t reflect anything. But you do. You reflect……its broken heart. A vampire with a human soul. An immortal with a mortal’s passion. You… …are… …beautiful, my friend.
So I tried to do something… It’s supposed to be Claudia and Louis, but Louis looks like Steve Harrington from Stranger things because I used Harry Styles’ hair for it and… That came out. They don’t even look like vampires, but I’m practicing.
Also they don’t have face because I suck at drawing faces. So I guess I have to finish it sometime.
Please don’t judge, I usually draw people like the second picture ( human scale for architecture :v ) and I use a picture of some random dude with a baby so I cheated. (?
Pd: I did try to draw the face, but they scared me.
I’m honored yet again to be asked to provide the poster artwork for the Anne Rice Vampire Lestat Fan Club’s 2015 Annual Halloween Ball – again this year with Anne Rice herself in attendance. This year, we went with something a little different. As Anne Rice has revived her beloved characters with the recent novel ‘The Prince Lestat’ and with more novels promised for the future, we had to rely on symbolism rather than clutter the image up with all of her beloved literary figures.
I remember I played a gacha/mobile card battle game that inexplicably – and almost definitely without official license – had Anne Rice’s character Claudia as a card you could get. Not even serial numbers filed off. Like her flavor text mentioned Lestat or Louis. (can’t remember which) The thing is, for the life of me, I can’t remember which, and it’s actually surprisingly hard to find a mobile card game from just knowing it stole a character from the Vampire Chronicles.
A quick speed painting of my favourite Brat Prince because why the hell not?
Tagging @i-want-my-iwtv in this because I really love your blog!
Merci for the tag! I love Cruise!Lestat, looks like you do, too 💓💓💓
This is one of my fave shots from the movie, bc for at least a few min, Lestat thinks he did well, he has a new fledgling, and he wants to love him for eternity ;u; I think you captured that well.
What makes Interview with the Vampire so bad is not that the erotic content is so explicit, but that the morbid content is so respectable.
Edith Milton’s bad review of IWTV haha! Tremendous! (via monstersinthecosmos)
