Emil Andersson for Lestat de Lioncourt [X][X]

OK so I looked up this model bc of @yoonona‘s aesthetic post, and wow. Especially the first pic. With the right lighting, yep, angelic! I’m not 100% selling him for this, but just throwing the idea out there.

Emil is physically stunning and probably closer to more ppl’s headcanon for Lestat than some recent casting suggestions have offered us. Modeling does require some level of acting, and he definitely has talent, I especially love his seriousness in the bottom right pic in an outfit that… while he sells it very well… would probably look laughable on most of us mere mortals!

Acting though, we need to see him in motion with more than the variations of pouty expression above. Lestat has a huge sense of humor with a lot of ways of expressing it. I found ONE pic of Emil smiling, and idk, I need more: [X]

Found just one gif of him in motion, below the cut bc it gets really repetitive!

I normally don’t support casting models for VC characters bc there’s more to our characters than being JUST beautiful, even though they are described as angelic and devastatingly attractive. Part of what drew me to them was that they feel grounded in reality somehow, and their beauty comes more from their personalities, that’s part of why they were chosen to vampire by their makers.

In some cases, though, they really are that beautiful, and Lestat was chosen both for his physical characteristics AND his personality.

The Vampire Chronicles Characters: Lestat de Lioncourt

I was the vampire Lestat again. I was back in action. New Orleans was once again my hunting ground. And I was asking myself, Lestat, what do you want to do now? Old rules didn’t matter to me now. I wanted to break every one of them.

In a perfect world, the casting of Lestat for the new movie is someone THIS decorative, but with the acting skills to ensure Lestat is more than a one-note spoiled brat. (Because while he’s the Brat Prince, the stupid egotistical rock star vampire has layers.)

(I’ve mentioned that Lestat is one of my favorites, right? Well I’m mentioning it again.)

Re: science. As for yourself: you’ve been talking about this for 30 years. Don’t you want to know? Hey- know what you could do? You could surrender to mortal science. Why don’t you surrender?

♛As Louis once said, as much as your offer might appeal to me, I must regretfully decline.

I’m only interested in surrendering myself to our own in-house scientists, anyway. Viktor is proof enough of that.

Re: science. Yes, scientists sometimes die in their pursuits..but they are not usually murdered by the dozen. That would seem to indicate SOMEONE wants SOMETHING suppressed. You might want to have another chat with that Flannery Gilman, Monsieur.

♛*ragged sigh* Scientists die in pursuit of many things, being murdered by the dozens doesn’t seem like an especially high number to me. They choose to risk their lives, who am I to stop them from running into the fangs of death? Tigers, snakes, payara, and yes, vampires. What a beautiful variety of fangs in the savage garden!

I have no need to “chat with” anyone about the death rate of scientists. They choose their destiny. I stand in no mortal’s way if and when they seek death. In fact, I guide them to it if they deserve it. Who says a scientist cannot also be an evildoer of the highest degree? Some have access to poisons and have used them to climb the corporate ladder, or rid themselves of a pesky spouse or even their own flesh and blood. Is that a mortal soul deserving protected status? I think not.

What are you getting at? What’s your point? If you’re trying to provoke me into some kind of tear-filled apology or revelation, you’re barking up at the wrong vampire, mon papillon

The only revelation I’ll give is what I’ve already given. We’re real. We’re dangerous. We are unfathomably higher on the food chain than you so show some real respect.
