i-want-my-iwtv:

“This is my birthday present from Louis. Use as I like, he tells me…

I do not understand entirely what is meant by birthday. Was I born into this world on the 21st of September or was it on that day that I departed all things human to become this?

My gentlemen parents are forever reluctant to illuminate such simple matters. One would think it bad taste to dwell on such subjects. Louis looks puzzled, then miserable, before he returns to the evening paper. And Lestat, he smiles and plays a little Mozart for me, then answers with a shrug: ‘It was the day you were born to us.’ ”

– Claudia de Lioncourt, Queen of the Damned

Is this her birthday? Or the night she was turned? They don’t answer her. I think it was the night she was turned, “you were born to US”

According to this, September 21 is Michele Rice’s birthday, 1966. Michele died of

acute granuleucytic leukemia

on Aug. 5, 1972.

Jurassic World is close to us, so I wanted to take a moment to remember someone that won’t be here to see it happens.

Meet Stan Winston.

image

If the name doesn’t ring a bell, he’s the guy that worked on every non-CGI dinosaur from Jurassic Park/The Lost World/Jurassic Park III. And many don’t even realize how many there were!

Oh, but that is not all.

He is also the guy that created and gave ”life” to some other movie stars…

Happy birthday, Stan Winston (April 7, 1946 – June 15, 2008)

You didn’t make special effects, you sir made the World special.

James Paxton, blond, for Lestat.

First of all, RIP Bill Paxton ;A; I loved him in Twister, and other movies.

I haven’t actually watched James Paxton in anything, I don’t watch him on Eyewitness, but I have seen some borderline NSFW gifs of it on tumblr, and…

I see potential… Can’t quite articulate why, not even being sarcastic. He seems to have the right blend of cockiness and tenderness, and he’s already experienced with making out with another guy on screen, and it would be gr9 to have that in the new VC adaptation.

image

^I mean, again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I think this lighting is working for him, softening his features somewhat. He seems pretty w/o being like, a model. He has a boy-next-door quality. I imagine that some of what drew ppl to Lestat as a mortal was his blend of confidence, shyness, and caring, those are the things that make what would have been a slightly-above-average-looking guy into someone really gorgeous <3. Then vampiring enhanced what he already had going for him.

[^X]

So yeah I would screentest him! Send his name over to AR.

Do you have a message for people who suffer with bipolar disorder?

Oh, yes. You can outlast anything. It’s complicated, it’s a job, but it’s doable. One of the greatest things that happened for me was that psychotic episode. Having survived it, I now know the difference between a problem and an inconvenience. Bipolar disorder can be a great teacher. It’s a challenge, but it can set you up to be able to do almost anything else in your life. – Carrie Fisher [x]
