^de Lioncourt’s 5th, everyone!
I have to say that this one character in canon had bothered me for the longest time, just for the fact that he was never mentioned after IWTV until PL.
I used to assume he was either A) such an embarrassment to Lestat or B) that they had broken up so violently that Lestat couldn’t bear to even mention his name again.
It’s interesting to have him recognized and brought into the fold at this point. We’ll see what happens!

Cosplay, for me, isn’t just about the looks, it’s also in the attitude. So if someone’s eyes aren’t the shade as described in the book it’s not a dealbreaker. I think I prefer silly/parody cosplays because it’s so hard to achieve the serious dramatic quality one gets with the added $$$, experienced professionals of cinematography, costume design, lighting, etc., that the film industry relies on when making films. When you aim for silly/parody, it’s truly more about the performance than the physical look.
That said, here’s an example I like of everyman as Lestat:
I think it works! Looking at his other pics, he’s really gone to great lengths to recreate scenes/relationships, and he’s got good Lestatuesque body language and attitude.
As for the Louis, yeah, in most of the pics he seems #ooc, but I think ^this expression is excellent! He’s got the “Lestat omfg STOP” just under his dignified veneer. Nice sharp French features, great outfit, looks like the right age. He could even work as Nicolas. If only this guy worked as well in his front angle as his profile *siiiigh*.
Melodysknight as Lestat gets massive points for also playing the IWTV pieces.

Well there are plenty to choose from, obviously, but yes, Rowan…
I did care for her in an odd kind of way. Though perhaps it was more the idea of her, a fiery Mayfair witch with all that beautiful androgyny about her and all that history! That was also around the time I was being haunted by the ghosts of Stella Mayfair and Oncle Julien. My mind was rather focussed, for a time, on the Mayfair’s it would seem.
As for turning her down well… I don’t say this lightly but I suppose I grew afraid of her power, and her history, and the Taltos and all of that. She, like so many other Mayfair’s was a very sexual woman in a way that only modern women can be. I felt, perhaps, that with Rowan… was the only time I was in over my head.

Cool fingers brush my hand as he gives me the book. The touch is feather light and possibly unintentional but it sends a current through me. The hair on the back of my neck stands up. I swallow and look away from the vampire, glancing down at the ratty paperback.
It’s Catch-22. He picked it up from a park bench and read it in minutes. Now he wants me to read it so we can discuss the cynicism of modern man and modern warfare, and how it compares to the wars he’s witnessed, as if Armand has ever really seen war. now, as if I too could simply flip through it and absorb its contents. But I’m
only a mortal man. As it happens, I have read it, but it was years ago, when I
was thirteen, and I don’t remember it all that well.His collar is crooked so I set the book on the bar, take a
swig of my whiskey to steady my nerves, and then… I reach over. I adjust his
collar, but my fingers linger on his ivory skin, brush his collarbone. It’s an
intimate gesture. And the exact second we both realize how close our bodies are, it’s
like we become magnetized and break apart. He gets up. “I have things to attend
to,” he says, throwing cash on the bar. It’s a hundred dollar bill. I’ve had
two drinks. Money is nothing to him. I don’t argue. He leans over my shoulder,
his rich voice in my ear. “You should try harder to escape me, Daniel. I’m

Scent: rain
Rain will always remind me of Paris, and, in some ways, Louis. For Louis, it reminds of the way that those beads of water clung to cloak and silken strands of ebony hair, lovely in a secretive, melancholy manner, with skin like pale stone washed clean by the storm. I elaborated on this somewhat here.
What Paris reminds me of by extension, however, is by far more complex. That city is awash with memories for me, so much so that separating past and present becomes a monumental task of concentration whenever I am there.

He leaned into the surprising warmth of his companion, and kissed him then —fiercely— fingers curling into damp fabric and blonde locks. Funny, how he had even surprised himself by his actions.
Hey, I follow a lot of RP blogs and I frequently see stuff like you have on your blog that says “Mun is over 21 and only RPs with adults”. I don’t understand why this is a common thing. What’s so bad about RPing with minors? Do people not think teens are mature? If it’s because of the smut, I kind of get why (although I’m sure the teens would be more than willing to RP that). And why 21 instead of 18? I’m 16, I can’t wait that long!

ooc, obviously: Well, it’s 21 because when I created my blog, I shamelessly copied the blog warnings of my friends. I think 21 is like a safety net, to discourage people who are, say, 17 and 10 months or whatever. I have since RP’d with plenty of people who are 19 and 20, so I should probably change that to 19.
It’s 100% due to child pornography laws and the fact that if I write smut with someone who’s not legally an adult, I could be legally prosecuted for it. That’s not something I want to have to defend myself against in court. So that’s for my own protection. It’s just super illegal. It doesn’t matter if you’re writing a character who’s 25 or 200 or 910. The law won’t care you were RPing the Tenth Doctor. They will see that an adult exchanged inappropriate messages with a teenager and that’s not okay.
As the adult in the situation, I cannot participate, encourage, or engage in that kind of thing. I don’t even write smut that often—not a fan of PWP—but given how RP tends to end up in a weird, ambiguous, or smutty areas, it’s all about being on the safe side.
I know it sucks. Back when I was teen, the internet was pretty new and people weren’t worried about that stuff because it literally didn’t occur to them to be worried about it. Nowadays, all it takes is the wrong thing to end up on your internet history and you can be prosecuted.
What you can do now is RP with other teens, and I know there are a lot of teens in the tumblr RP community.
