Just found out from my mom that my childhood hairdresser used to cosplay as Lestat and Louis with his boyfriend… If only I could meet them now cx

Aww, yeah I’d love to see some cosplay pics from decades ago… And I feel like a hairdresser could actually do really well w/ their hair. Hair styling is an art form!

Interviews & Rec (11/?)

Your recent post made me wonder – if Lestat is bad with technology like he says in the most recent book, do you think someone had to teach him how to set up a facebook account? Louis trying to show him the difference between the search bar and the status bar after he accidentally posted someone’s name for all to see? So many questions.

Wanted to do a painterly illustration of Armand from Vampire Chronicles.
I think the scene from his mortal days where he’s whipped and then… the stuff that happens… has all these unexplored layers.

Regret, reparations, the mixing of pleasure and pain and the guilt of seeing yourself as a victim- whether you see pain in your life as fate. Anyway, I love Armand’s character and his outbursts have always been fascinating!

I’d like to imagine that this scene is a vision he’s given himself. Going back to Venice and destroying it while his backside stings from lashes and the blood chills as it trickles downwards. A sheepish curl of his hand in his hair. The expression we cannot see. The hand clenching the beloved color of his master, maker, lover, etc.

BEAUTIFUL. Beautiful in the way that it’s a very delicate subject and I feel like @superhiki captured it with such tenderness and dignity… as @gothiccharmschool put it, re: Crimson Peak: “as my definition of goth/gothic is looking for “beauty and wonder in dark or unsettling places”.” (X) and this is an example of that for me *applauds*

I’m just here to tell you that you could have killed me, because I’ve found your youtube channel and while watching your videos I laughed so hard I almost choked. The “Mostly Straight” one… ohmygawd

Thanks! That’s the kind of reaction I aim for! ❤ (Here’s the vid anon refers to, and here’s my YT channel.)

[X for the tumblr post for this one, more of my vids on tumblr are mixed into the #parody tag]

You know, I’ve been thinking about this lately. Since Antonio Banderas played Armand in the IVTV movie and he didn’t looked like the character in the books, a lot of people were disheartened about it, but actually, i think it was divine. Yes, Banderas didn’t look like Armand and there’s a lot of theories on why they choose him, but his performance was so great. It was like a “Dracula version” of Armand, so fancy, so dark, so dramatic, so… charming. I thought it was great. What do you think?

Well you probably know you’re preaching to the choir on that one 😉

Most of my thoughts on Antonio!Armand are in #Defending Antonio, so you can check that out.

However, I totally understand that other people were disheartened about it, and I’m not looking to argue with anyone, just saying that I was able to enjoy Antonio!Armand, and I’m glad other people were able to enjoy him, as well ❤

Do another you’re killing your father thing! I laughed so much…. It was horrible. I loved it.

[Anon refers to this X] Awww thanks! I tried to come up with another one and couldn’t come up with one… 😛 I’ll keep trying, but for now, maybe this will suffice just pretend they’re speaking French and the subtitles are a translation

Louis: What kind of idiots do you have working here?

Armand: The finest in Paris.
