Idk if you ever heard about the CBBC show Young Dracula, but it’s brilliant. Yes, it’s originally for kids (at least the first few seasons) but it’s hilarious and so quotable. Also, Vlad, the main protagonist who was born a vampire, desperately wants to be normal and that feels very VC-adjacent. It’s a great show either way.
Definitely quotable in that cute child-friendly way! The fashion and general aesthetic seems to have a touch of VC.
Thanks for the rec, anon. I might give it a try 😉 Anyone else here watch/like it?

^Found Antonio!Armand’s wig…

^Found a Lestatuesque line!
(It’s the same person from yesterday) but honestly the sad/scary thing is I didn’t even question that article. I wouldn’t have been surprised if it was actually true. I have no idea what AR is going to want for the show when things start coming together soon. But I really do hope the show IS “taboo” and 100% clear canon-ly LGBT unlike a lot of other shows rn. Like sometimes I forget she’s old enough to be my grandma and if MY grandma took control of a tv show well that would just be a nightmare.

Yeah, I almost fell for that article at first. @sanguinivora made a post about it. I would reblog it, but I don’t 100% agree with it, still, it has some very good points. Definitely worth reading and considering.
(Ageism… I don’t know about AR’s age being a factor in any of this, we can only speculate. I’m not commenting on that.)
I’m with you re: I hope the VC TV series is as true to canon as possible, that it gives us some positive representation of LGBTQIA+ relationships/characters or encourages critical thinking and discussion of the (for lack of a better word) problematic aspects.
…I don’t know about your grandma, maybe she would be an awesome scriptwriter! One of my grandmas was very open minded and she might have done well at this.
Like, I’m not even making a joke here, this lady here in the stock image is so thrilled, sittin’ there at her laptop, and it warms my heart a little! What is she gonna write?

Finally got an oil lamp of my own as a birthday present this year, so that I can have quality Mopey Louis™ time. Much more cost-effective than candles. Seriously I can spend alot of money on candles that I shouldn’t be spending bc I need real little flickering light in my place since I can’t have a kitty cat!

^Mine’s not the same as the one Louis hurls at Lestat but oh well. Mine probably would have been more effective, if full, it has more kerosene oil capacity ;D
P.S. I made those pillows. Not very vampiry, gonna have to make some more.
Marius de Romanus.
Oh yes! Very close!
Sometimes writing is like having an enormous lake in your head, and you want to get it out of your head and into a proper place for a lake so other people can come and go swimming and ride jet skis and stuff, except all you have to move the lake is a teaspoon. So you’re just sitting there frantically flinging water out of the lake with your teaspoon and telling people, “Guys, this lake is going to be so cool when it’s done,” but it will never be done. There is so much lake.
I didn’t really expect this to be relatable, but if you wanna reblog, go wild.
