@i-want-my-iwtv ❤❤❤ words fail me
thank you so much for this beautiful card. I love @ashetray’s work.
I wasn’t around too much and the past months have been filled with work in order to keep my mind from mourning a family member.
You put a smile on my face with this gift and I return daily to your blog because it’s the light that I need, maybe more than I thought ❤
You’re so very welcome! Glad it had the desired effect! *u* I try to make this blog an escape from reality, for entertainment. (Sometimes I do post more serious things, but in general, just fun and appreciation for VC!)
(Just to let ppl know, I had done a giveaway post a year ago and felt bad that I only had a few “prizes” to give away and still haven’t sent them out yet but I WILL really! so I asked some of the ppl on that post if they’d like a postcard from L/L, so this is why these have all been popping up… and I still have a deck of these postcards so I may send out more at another time… )
Thanks a lot to @i-want-my-iwtv! You’re great and I love your blog and your positive passion for vc chronicles
I’ll display your wonderful postcard with the whole series 😉
And thanks also to @ashetray for the beautiful fanart (that shocked my father a bit when he took the postcard from the mailbox LOOL loved it!)
Ps: sorry for the awful picture but I’m not good at taking them ;__;
Merci! I’m sure @ashetray is as honored (or more!) as I am to have that fanart in such a high place of honor ❤ Now I gotta get his handwriting right…
Your poor dad, well… postal workers and parents have been getting little shocks all over the world from these postcards… maybe he needs to be informed about this sort of thing anyway! Maybe Louis just wanted that shirt and the hair ribbon? hehehe… 😉
I’m so glad I was the one who had to empty
the mailbox today, if my mother found this I would have to do a whole lot of
explaining. Also, the postman probably thinks I’m crazy now for receiving this.
I opened the mailbox hoping that my Ebay package had arrived. But when I looked I saw this, the flipside with
my name on it caught my eye. I never get postcards, from who could this be? I
twist it around and see this crazy picture and suddenly I remember, this is
from I-want-my-IWTV! A big smile appears on my face, I totally wasn’t expecting
this and I had already kind of forgotten about her saying that I would get
this. My fangirl feelings suddenly went through the roof. It was kinda
awesome to pretend that this card might have come from Mr. de Lioncourt himself 🙂 Thank you @i-want-my-iwtv you have made my day. The text on the back was also very fitting.
Afterwards I had to get some groceries
and I was smiling constantly while shopping just because this card was such a
nice surprise. I thought showing it with my VC books would be fitting, so I
did.
I approve of the choice of display <333 And what a nice story to add to it, I’m very pleased with your reaction ^_____^
P.S. There are alot of judgemental postal workers who’ve seen these cards, I’m sure… but maybe some were VC fans? And were jealous?!
ANYWAY you’re very welcome, and actually, I sent myself one for the same purpose… I wanted a card from them, too! *u*
So awhile back I had a giveaway post and STILL have not filled that giveaway bc it became a larger giveaway… Here’s the progress so far. Ya like? It will be worth the wait!
Hit the jump for more info including how the embossing works it is so cool!
As you may be aware I wanted to include postcards and so I asked @ashetray if I could use their fanart for that, which I had commissioned, so that was all good but then I wanted to add my i-want-my-iwtv flair on there somehow. Adding a gold foil logo seemed like a good idea but those are so expensive! Printers start at $400 for this fancy shit.
Manual gold embossing is much more cost effective, just get a stamp of your design (mine was $35), the embossing powder ($10 I think?), the heat gun ($25), and the embossing ink ($6, but you can use any color ink).
1. Supplies. 2. getting the embossing ink on tha stamp.
3. Embossing ink comes out almost clear. 4. Dump that embossing powder!
5. Really cover that sucker, 6. and then roll the paper so the powder collects so you can dump it back in the container bc it’s still perfectly usable.
7. The powder stuck to the ink! MAGIC. 8. BLAST THAT SUCKER W/ THE HEAT GUN.
♛Thank you, ma petite fleur… it was indeed an unforgettably grand night of celebrating, even if Louis’s dancing is still in desperate need of a good teacher… I’ve applied for the position, we’ll see if I get the job *smiles*
