♛ I must confess, Anonyme, that this response took me some time as Louis and I spent most of our conscious hours on Christmas Eve and the night thereafter in each other’s arms, either curled together on the couch by the fire reading favorite poetry aloud, lazing in the tub w/ those new bath soaps that tint liquid into a galaxy, tangled in the sheets… you get the idea. My arms and hands were quite unavailable for any social networking >;}
Last year’s gift was actually a big hit with him. It was William Harvey’s de Motu Cordis.
As for physical gifts, there are already too many holidays in the year that seem geared towards one or the other of us (Louis’s birthday merits the entire night revolving around him), beside the fact that we give each other little gifts year-round when the mood strikes us, as many couples do.
Most years I give him a number of gag gifts, anything to make him laugh out loud. Even an admonishing smirk is worth a particularly tasteless gift. Par example:

- Gender: straight female on the outside (is that “cisgender female?” I don’t know all this newfangled terminology), maybe gay male vampire on the inside…
- Favorite color: ALL THE COLORS. I like the swirling colors in street oil and soap bubbles
omg so hardcore pastel grunge - One place that makes me happy: The playground in Chinatown where I take my 7 yr old cousin. They have excellent swings.
- How many blankets I sleep under: A teal quilt and a cool blanket that looks like a $100 bill which I snuggle into for couchpotatoing.
- Favorite movie: Do you have to ask? Interview with the Vampire is a favorite, obviously, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best movie ever made.
- What are you wearing right now: Red top, black jeans, my scarf w/ horses & carriages (that I got in New Orleans) is wrapped around my shoulders, winged eyeliner ;]
- Dream Job: I’d like to be paid to run this blog full-time, find a way to allow VC fanartists and writers to be able to sell their work to eachother and to the fandom, and funnel the resources needed to make bigger VC media (graphic novel series, animated series, and/or movies). So I guess Producer.
- More realistically, dream job would be Rock Superstar.
- Okay that’s still not realistic. Owner and Creative Director of my own animation studio would be fabulous.

Hi, I just wanted to ask if you knew of a interview with the vampire drinking game. I’m sure I saw a picture before but I can’t remember if I actually did. If not, do you have any suggestions for rules? I said a while back I was going to do a drinking game video for reaching 400 followers so just needed to know.
An IWTV Drinking Game! A brilliant idea. I’d even suggest adding in some audience participation, as in Rocky Horror. For now, here are your Rules:
- Drink whenever Louis refuses to do so.
- Drink whenever Louis is shown on his back. (THERE ARE SO MANY TIMES)
- Drink whenever anyone touches Louis’s hair.
- Drink whenever Lestat goes from Calm to ROYALLY Pissed in 0.5 seconds.
- Drink whenever Louis sets something on fire.
- One shot for every Dark Gift scene.
- Drink for every on-screen dead body that Claudia is responsible for (not the whole family scene tho!).
- Drink whenever Louis smiles (it’s rare, but it happens).
I put those Rules up above the cut bc I’m not aware of any movie!IWTV Drinking Game… but my Rules are great *u* I’ve seen that movie enough times to know that would make for a decently drunken end to a rewatch. More Rules would be better, so I’ll try to come up with some more… and audience participation would be even better!

After getting Prince Lestat shortly after it came out, I finally have enough time to actually read it.. Why does Rose exist? Why does Viktor exist?
I actually still haven’t finished PL myself, preferring to burrow into fanfic when I have time to sit and read. I should really finish it tho bc I’m about 60% through, and I have allowed myself to be spoiled somewhat (I know that they exist) but I don’t actually know what happens with Vikki and Rosalita Viktor and Rose just yet.
I don’t know why they exist but my GUESS is that alot of that book is AR’s response to questions she’s sick and tired of hearing at Q&A’s over the years.
Among which (these are NOT my opinions):
- Why cants the vampires has enjoyable sex? They shoulds be able to has sex bc an asexual relationship is impossible.
- WOULDNT IT BE AWESOMESAUCE IF LESTAT HAD A BABY
- Lestan is a cool name and you should totes use it again.
- There are not enough girls in your books.
- You should have a romance like in Twilight.

So vampires breathe. But do they need to, or is it just habit?
That is a point of vampire physiological debate actually, whether they DO breathe or not. Lestat Says Yes, Therefore it is Truth! … except maybe not. Maybe he thinks he’s breathing because he has to, but he may be doing it out of habit.
I feel like they would need to breathe for the air to go through properly for speech. Otherwise, wouldn’t they sound more like the breathless screeching vampires in 30 Days of Night?
there was a fic in which the vampires considered what would happen if they were in a coffin on a ship and the ship sunk. Would they still be conscious, trapped in their coffin? Presumably they wouldn’t die by drowning… hmmm…?
