Louis, what is the most embarrassing thing Lestat has done in public?

♠ I’m not betraying his confidence by sharing this, as he brings it up in conversation whenever he can.

He loves art and, inspired by this tourist, Lestat scattered rose petals and then stripped nude in a museum in New York to fully appreciate some his favorite paintings and sculptures.

The museum was closed, thankfully, but Daniel was with us. It was… very awkward.

                          John Singer Sargent – 1856 – 1925

Sargent is not remembered for being a prominent gay artist, manly because many art scholars and followers of Sargent have dismissed all evidence and signs supporting such. Aside from being close to Oscar Wilde, Robert de Montesquiou and Fredrick Leighton (all gay fixtures of that time period). Sargent was well know in Paris circles for having sexual relationships with men. He never married or fathered children and after his death his family destroyed all correspondence he left behind. If that wasn’t enough proof, Sargent’s large portfolio of private male nude drawings and paintings display his sensual and romantic approach to painting men.  John Singer Sargent lives on as one of the greatest artist that walked the earth, but he was also one of the most inspiring and important gay men that ever lived.

Eyy! (This is about the reading the books in order post) I’m kinda thinking about just reading the books out of order too, I skipped Memnoch so I could read TVA, and then I’m going to read Blood and gold, cause I’m super excited to read about my boy Marius. He and Armand are my favorites. I wholeheartedly recommend that people who want to read about their favorites before going over the other stuff to read the books out of order if they want to.

Sure! Whatever order works for you is fine. Several of the books offer a different POV on previously described events anyway. Pandora also has Marius, don’t skip her account of things 😉
