(Same anon who asked about The Vampire Chronicles Because her sister loved it.) Dean Winchester and Lestat would have the same taste in music for sure.

(Anon refers to X] I bet they would! @lokitapendragon, any specific songs Lestat and Dean would rock out to in the car together?

*Cracks knuckles* OH HONEY.

“Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard. Lestat belts it out with a heavy French accent and Dean mocks him loudly. Dean cannot sing it to save his life.

“Highway to Hell” by AC/DC. Dean tries and fails to imitate the semi-screaming. Lestat laughs, both at the lyrics and Dean’s horrible singing.

“Wanted Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi. Lestat plays this song on repeat until Sam and Louis and literally everyone else begs him to shut it off (Lestat CANONICALLY loves Bon Jovi so there.) Dean’s emotions are horribly mixed because it still reminds him of the days before he went to Hell.

“Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor. Neither of them understand how cheesy everyone else finds this song, or why everybody starts laughing when they strut into the room in their shades with it as a soundtrack.

“Don’t Fear the Reaper” by Blue Oyster Cult. Lestat seduced and killed victims to this song when it was still new and playing on transistor radios. Dean remembers it from childhood when his dad used it to drown out the sounds of a hunt for toddler Sammy, who got left in the car.

“Heat of the Moment” by Asia. Dean plays this one around Lestat because for some reason it makes Sammy freak out. Louis thinks it’s the most ridiculous thing he’s ever heard. When Sam walks in he actually punches the cassette out of the stereo. Lestat asks Dean what set him off.

“Paradise City” by Guns ‘N’ Roses. If Dean’s hearing hadn’t been blown away by all the years of shooting guns with no ear protection or Lestat was mortal, they would both destroy their eardrums cranking this one.

“Rock You Like a Hurricane” by The Scorpions. I don’t know, I have mental images of them both walking into some skeazy bar (both hunting, just for different things?) while this is playing.

I could go on indefinitely so I’ll stop it right there.

^NICE! (Also I love all these songs, BTW)

^I think they’d both agree on this ;D

And so he ran after me all the way back to the hotel, all the way across the rooftops, where I hoped to lose him, until I leaped in the window of the parlor and turned in rage and slammed the window shut. He hit it, arms outstretched, like a bird who seeks to fly through glass, and shook the frame.

@Anon asking about starting VC: I’m an AVID Supernatural girl and grew up on Lestat, and I’d say that one of the fundamental differences between the two worlds is the attitude. VC is GOTHIC, complete with lace cuffs and candlelight. Supernatural is AMERICAN gothic. If it can’t be solved with a shotgun or a punch in the teeth, they’re gonna struggle with it. So Anon- give it a shot. I’d even say start with Vampire Lestat, ’cause he’s just that awesome. Feel free to message me about both!

Hey Anon, @lokitapendragon is here for your Supernatural and VC feels!

We’re always here for crossover fanart/fanfic whenever anyone’s willing to make it, btw… lookit these 2 idiots they’d get into so much trouble together

“Here’s the thing a wise man once said, ‘The opposite of love is not hate, its indifference.’ And Loki is not indifferent to Thor. He hates him. And in order to hate someone, you must still, therefore, love them. So I think there is, somewhere down the line, the possibility of redemption for him, because he is just in real need of self-esteem.” – Tom Hiddleston

^I found that pic, and the quote in two different places, so I’m not sure which is correct (or, given internet sources, whether it’s Tom Hiddleston’s quote at all) but it’s a powerful statement, whoever said it.

The opposite of love is not hate, its indifference.

I’m calling on the Thorki fandom, what do you make of this quote? Agree? Disagree?

@thorduna, @raven-brings-light, @ohfreckle, @sexualthorientation, @radiatorfromspace@thorkizilla, @thorkyrie, @virushoney@spacefloozy, @thorkicraving, @thorkidumpster

I’m sure I’m missing some wonderful Thorki shippers, please count yourself invited to reblog/comment.

My grandma told me that, it’s something I’ve always lived by. Nothing cuts as deep as not being worth even the slightest feeling or emotion.

OH GAWDS WE HAVE A RELEASE DATE AND A SUMMARY FEAST YOUR EYES MORTALS:

“The Vampire Chronicles continue with a riveting, rich saga–part adventure, part fairy-tale–of Prince Lestat and the story of the Blood Communion as he tells the tale of his coming to rule the vampire world and the eternal struggle to find belonging, a place in the universe for the undead, and how, against his will, he must battle the menacing, seemingly unstoppable force determined to thwart his vision and destroy the entire vampire netherworld.

In this spellbinding novel, Lestat, rebel outlaw, addresses the tribe of vampires, directly, intimately, passionately, and tells the riveting story of the formation of the Blood Communion and how he became Prince of the vampire world, the true ruler of this vast force, and how his vision for all the Children of the Universe to thrive as one, came to be.

The tale spills from Lestat’s heart, as he speaks first of his new existence as reigning monarch–and then of his fierce battle of wits and words with the mysterious Rhoshamandes, proud Child of the Millennia, reviled outcast for his senseless slaughter of the legendary ancient vampire Maharet, forever wise and loving and twin to Mekare the Keeper of the Sacred Core; Rhoshamandes, a force who refuses to live in harmony at the Court of Prince Lestat and threatens all that Lestat has dreamt of.

As the tale unfolds, Lestat takes us from the towers and battlements of his ancestral castle in the snow-covered mountains of France to the verdant wilds of lush Louisiana with its lingering fragrances of magnolias and night jasmine; from the far reaches of the Pacific’s untouched islands to the 18th-century city of St. Petersburg and the court of the Empress Catherine …”

I think we may be spared the birb aliems tho so there’s that!!!

myst-l-vie:

Okay… inspired by @i-want-my-iwtv – here are the four things that I like/love about the Queen of the Damned movie

1. Aaliyah as Akasha – this was my introduction to Aaliyah and it was a damn good introduction. Firstly, she looked stunning. That’s how I imagine Akasha would look like. And, despite the poor script, Aaliyah gave it her all and I really enjoyed her performance.

2. The score – I’m a sucker for a good music score, and QOTD is no exception. I love the violins (On the Beach sounds epic) and the overall theme, that’s included in Forsaken, sounds really cool.

3. The soundtrack – I freaking love this soundtrack! I love the artists’ versions that were on the official soundtrack but i also love Jonathan Davis’ versions that are heard in the movie (there was some problems behind the scenes that Davis couldn’t release his versions on the official soundtrack – something like that) Also it has the Deftones! Who are awesome!

4. The music video for Forsaken – it’s an homage to the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. What’s not to love about that? The sets, the lighting – it’s so freaking cool! And again, it’s a good song.

And there you go 🙂

RIGHT all of the above! And I forgot about #4! They get points for that, for sure ;D he looks p cute ‘n spoopy here:
