Seattle-area peeps! A dear friend and her kitty are in need of housing help!
Do you have a spare room that a nice, geeky lady and her smart cat could stay in for a few (up to six) months? They come with about $200 a month to help with rent & bills.(I have a whole rant about the lack of a working social safety net in this country, but said rant won’t help my friend find a place to stay that doesn’t involve fostering her kitty and her couch-surfing.)

VC Fandom request: Can someone make a new Family Tree based on the info from Prince Lestat? I’m 40% into that thing and Holy hell there’s a lot of family tree info!

I agree that there are too many new characters BUT it does open up the canon for fresh pairings and stories… and the RP/fanart/fanfic that goes with that.
Wow, I’m glad I’m not the only one with mixed feelings on Prince Lestat. It was better than Blood Canticle, but I am disappointed that there was so much exposition and that previous characters like Bianca and Eleni got over shadowed in favor of new characters. And we are not even starting on how my favorites died or how mad I am at the lack of Daniel/Armand

I know who “Mater” is but why are they called that?
It’s short for Mater Glorioso, Latin for “Glorious Mother.” Not sure who or when first coined the term, but it’s the VC fandom’s loving and sarcastic way of paying tribute to the creator of the VC.
There’s a hilarious, though inactive, parody blog for her called anne-christ, the archive is worth checking out!
