I run forever but I won’t get far Cause if I don’t have you I will starve
There’s a wolf in my heart, for you For you, for you…
…Oh was it cold desperation There let fire go out Oh was it cold desperation Cause I let it burn for miles I am an animal for what I need You are the wilderness inside me I run forever but I won’t get far Cause if I don’t have you I will s t a r v e
So, @sherlockspider suggested this. I don’t watch Penny Dreadful, and now it’s added to my watch list, bc of reasons.
This Reeve Carney is good stuff. He appears to be the right age (Lestat was turned at 20 or 21 depending on your headcanon), he has the expressive eyes, the generous mouth, the jawline. Looks great in period costume. There are definite comparisons that can be drawn between Dorian and Lestat as characters. They both have this beautiful shell and a deep well of loneliness right underneath the surface, which translates into an insatiable lust for life’s pleasures and consuming other ppl.
Did I mention he plays guitar? And sings? Rather than give u pics, here’s two vids I found: [X][X].
Ah… distracted… so yeah, he has this great dimple when he smiles:
Have another:
Hit the jump for moar. Cut for length.
And then, he is also hawt, much seduct (and how much better is it when brushes his hair back? i have never been a huge fan of the middle part on dudes) We’d need to do smtg major with his hair:
#Agreed. This reminds me especially of Lestat’s betrayal in Paris during the trial of Louis & Claudia ;A;
“Enclosed in this letter there’s a picture Black and white for your refrigerator Sticks and stones have made me smarter It’s words that cut me under my armor”
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR? (singing starts at 1:38)
Non più andrai, farfallone amoroso/You won’t go any more, amorous butterfly
Notte e giorno d’intorno girando/Fluttering around inside night and day
…Lestat knows this entire song.
Tom does our beloved Lestat so much justice here. That he can be so joyous at such a bizarre moment, to the point of dancing w/ a corpse (especially considering how vampires have little tolerance for even being NEAR dead bodies), really shows how much sunshine he really does have bursting inside him. He’s elated that Louis is FINALLY GETTING IT.
Also, re: *~Butterflies~*
Those 2 dogs Louis kills instead of the gorgeous older lady?
They’re papillons. French for “butterfly.”
That lady even says that and translates for us: “My papillons, my butterflies, you killed them! Ohhh noooo…!” Butterflies go through metamorphosis; so does everyone who gets turned into a vampire in this movie.
