[I read the books when I was 15/16, meaning that it’s been almost 4 years. I’m rereading Vampire Armand again for rping purposes and past the middle it hasn’t been mentioned yet. However, this is the date I got from more than one wiki page and since I didn’t have a specific date in mind I decided to stick with it. Anne Rice might have mentioned it in an interview, perhaps? I’m afraid I won’t be able to assure you that.
//The really weird thing is that I have Armand’s birthday as November 11th too, and I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. I guess it was from the same online page you looked at, but I really can’t remember what it was or when it was… or anything.
//I wonder if comes from the official calendar? Which was released god only remembers when but it listed a lot of their birthdays (I don’t think Daniel was included). A lot people were like “UGH NO DISAGREE” but it exists somewhere, so maybe this is where people are getting that date?
//there’s a calendar?! Also wow I’ve headcanoned that he was born in November for like ages but only because I thought he should be Scorpio >>. Nov 11th headcanon accepted. 😀
I like that it’s a few days after Lestat’s. Just ONE MORE WAY Lestat steals the spotlight from Armand… just by existing.

Noone says you have to like all the characters, some are in fact antagonists in some stories and protagonists in others, and everything in between, and they can change over time. What AR is telling us is that labeling someone “bad” or “good” or “crazy” is a limitation. Life is not so black and white.
You don’t know why you despise Armand, but you say “everyone in the fandom seems to like him…” Consider this: some ppl dislike a character just because so many other ppl like them. I didn’t like the Beatles at all for a long time just bc so many other ppl liked them, and I wanted to feel like I had my own special taste. I listened to some of their hits, then some more, really gave them a chance… and well… turns out, I like the Beatles.
Give him more of a chance or don’t. Not everyone loves him but he has plenty of fandom love.

I’ll admit that Armand is not one of my fave characters so I haven’t spent as much effort analyzing him and really getting to know him as others have. Can you ask something specific about him?
You can check my tags for Armand fanart, cosplay, headcanons, etc.:
Does anyone follow AR on FB who knows if she’s mentioned anyone she might like? I don’t always agree with her reccs on this topic, tho. She wanted Matthew Bomer for Louis and I just can’t agree. Yes, he looks great in a suit, and he’s cute and all, but he’s too manly, he has a kind of ballsy confidence that’s overshooting Louis.
[I heard that there is a place under Les Innocents where you can sell your soul to the beautiful red-haired demon, if you have a soul, of course. Or you can come to me and I’ll introduce you to Satan if I manage to make a connection, it’s been five years since I sold my soul to them so it might be a little difficult to find him now. You’re free to contact other cult members, a lot of people have sold their souls to join team Armand and I recommend it immensely.
Or just contact Anne Rice, she is the supreme life-ruiner and I’m sure she’d be happy to have your soul, I’ve heard she feeds off readers’ souls.
