“VAMPIRES IN LOVE!”
#How to make a post a VC post #well done
It is criminal that we don’t have the cut/extended scenes or new features after TWENTY (20) YEARS. Fortunately, Neil Jordan is very aware that we want these and hopefully he’ll do smtg about it.
Officially, as far as I know, there are no cut/extended scenes on any edition of IWTV *cries forever,* but allegedly there’s a new vid on the 20th Anniversary Blu-Ray: “Lestat, Louis, and the Vampire Phenomenon: A conversation with author Anne Rice about her influence on the new wave of vampires as heroes and anti-heroes.” but that isn’t a cut scene so like whatever idec.
AS FOR CUT SCENES, OUTTAKES, ALTERNATE SHOTS, BLOOPERS, ETC., ALL WE HAVE ARE SCRAPS FROM THE TRAILER LIKE THIS ONE:

^YES LOUIS I KNOW I FEEL YOUR PAIN RE: THE CUT SCENES.
We know there were other scenes in the script (do the google, it’s easy to find, and very entertaining!), at least one of which was storyboarded partially.
I console myself w/ production stills and behind the scenes gems that I find *still cries forever* but SOMEONE OUT THERE HAS THAT FOOTAGE. (Guessing it’s Mick Audsley & Joke van Wijk, the editors).
^Re: Lestat’s height is 6 feet = 182.88 cm, so yeah, round up to 183 if you like *u*
Here, have a little cut footage, from the trailer, bc of reasons.

TFW when you cant move bc a cute animal is asleep on u [X]
♛I am fascinating. You’re a perceptive one, aren’t you? *grins*

Why the need for such ownership, why not join the growing audience who enjoy me in my natural habitat?
Oh, I see, you prefer to stroke one out to fantasies of my submission. You want to see me on my knees, stripped of my glamour, bawling and begging to be fed, to be released? *clutches pearls* What an imagination! Do tell, what kind of restraints would you try? Since we’re fantasizing here.

when he pulled that knife out we were all groaning in grossed out horror
OUR audience was laughing so hard! I think we were a twisted audience. That’s hipster New Yorkers for ya. Mostly NYU kids, probably, in that neighborhood. Desensitized to that particular kind of horror.

Ricean vampires do cry blood tears in the books. Other vampires might not. Claudia would have cried blood tears.
In this production still from a cut scene, it looks like Claudia does have blood tears:

I don’t know why they didn’t actually do it throughout the movie. Looks like they at least tried, though :-
Here’s another production still. Maybe the director didn’t like the thickness of them? Or the fact that they would be difficult to add in physically, since you’d have to redo her makeup for each take? In the books, blood tears are basically regular tears tinged with blood, so they would probably look pink, not so thick and red as these are. These look like ketchup.
