do you know what the name of that “fanon actor” for armand is? i know this is a very vague description, but i mean that young blondish boy in lots of picture sets or fanart who is not really from any of the vc movies? ^^´
That description is pretty vague! Maybe you mean River Pheonix? He’s the only young blond guy that isn’t in any VC movie, but he would have been Daniel Molloy in IWTV (he died after filming some of his scenes, they had to replace him with Christian Slater).
Inspiration from the Old Testament, Armand as the snake and Daniel as Adam in the savage garden.
Hi, I only started reading the VC last year so I am really new to the fandom. So far I have only read the first two books and a lot of people seem to not like many of the sequels. Could you suggest which one of the other books I should/should not read?

That’s true, some people don’t consider the books past #4 (Tale of the Body Thief) or #5 (Memnoch the Devil) to be canon.
Definitely read these:
– Queen of the Damned (but the movie is terrible and only loosely simialr to the book, don’t traumatize yourself with that!)
– Tale of the Body Thief – Lestat takes Doing the Thing to an extreme.
– the Vampire Armand – bc of reasons.
– Memnoch the Devil – this one presents some really interesting stuff on religion, it’s almost like fanfic of the Bible; I’m not a religious person and I still got alot out of it. Plus it has alot of Feels.
They do get exponentially more insane starting with #5 (someone coined the phrase “the Vampire Crackicles” for those) but that doesn’t mean they’re not worth a try. It’s still intriguing to know what happens/happened to the characters. I think you should keep going in order and see what you think!
To be honest, that summary of TOTBT is pretty much every book Lestat is in.
Well yeah, but we love it. We must love it, bc we keep coming back for more. We’re all dying to read the new book, awful or not, it’s bound to be more of Lestat Doing the Thing. With fabulosity.
