ooc; For anyone that wondered, this was a thing on her Facebook today.  Both the vampires not having sex and the Daniel & Marius bit.

//Awww. That’s sweet. (Not sarcastic. It is.) I definitely got the impression they cared very much for each other in PL. I still don’t read it as a romantic relationship. I don’t know it, it just doesn’t feel that way to me in the text. But I can see it being a very loving and intimate relationship. If it gets passionate, though, I see there being problems, given that Marius is so controlling and Daniel does not like being controlled. Will be interesting to see how this goes in Blood Paradise. 

I do hope Armand and Daniel reconnect in some meaningful way (which doesn’t have to be at the expense of Dan’s relationship with Marius, whatever that is – I contend they’re not very monogamous creatures anyhow). But really, I just want to see them TALK, goddamn it. Nod at each other. SOMETHING.

That is an awful legacy of names! Lestat and also Alucard aka that name low budget horror films would use when they couldn’t buy the rights to dracula/subtly foreshadow the fact that their character was a vampire shhh secret though. I want a fucking reality tv series of #vampireboy

It must be strange growing up with a fictional character’s name, especially as a “Lestat” baby. Whenever I mention the series there’s a chance I’ll get negativity bc there’s still homophobia out there, etc. I actually do try to bring it up relatively soon when deciding on making a new friend, bc if they reveal themselves to be homophobic or otherwise treat the VC like it’s shameful in any regard, then I don’t really want to waste my time with that person.

But I don’t think I could name a future son of mine "Lestat.“ Maybe I’d choose one of the more normal names, and there are plenty! I’ve seen alot of cat and dog (and apparently there’s a mule in NOLA?) Lestats, and a few young boys named Lestat on the interwebs. Kids will tease anyone for any reason, having a strange name won’t help this "Lestat-Armon Alucard.”

Noteworthy: I met a little Akasha (2 yrs old!) at a booksigning. She definitely lived up to the name, throwing such a tantrum that she had to be removed from the building by her father, she never got to meet her maker AR.

Your recent post made me wonder – if Lestat is bad with technology like he says in the most recent book, do you think someone had to teach him how to set up a facebook account? Louis trying to show him the difference between the search bar and the status bar after he accidentally posted someone’s name for all to see? So many questions.

I imagine Lestat is excellent with technology and social networking but pretends that he isn’t for the sake of trolling, or bc he enjoys it when Louis thinks he knows something Lestat doesn’t. 

Lestat likes having Louis explain things because Louis is very thorough and patient, which Lestat finds irresistibly endearing ❤

Never actually asked about sex just the depth of the relationship, but Anne does usually throw that in during ship questions. (I still apply fanon logic since Ursula banged Vittorio in his book. Discrepancies, love it for fic and RP reasons.)

Yeah.. well, we all read PL, right? In this book EVERYONE loves EVERYONE and EVERYTHING in  EVERY moment EVER mentioned! So yeah, of course that Marius loves Daniel. It does not confirm anything.

And sex. Didn’t Lestat say in QOTD that his johnson was like priapus ready for something that could never been performed anymore? Not with pleaure that is. So, well, technically, penetration is possible…but orgasm through that? Nah…

//OOC: It was never explicitly stated in PL that Daniel reciprocated feelings for Marius, which is why I asked. With Anne’s response, now we know. Again, the point of this question was the ship, not sex, but the fandom seems incapable of enjoying the happy parts of anything without someone having a fit.

The Vampire Chronicles: If you shipped it, it was or will be canon at some point. The ship whore’s delight.

AR Concerning Blood Paradise – Louis and Lestat. 

OOC; So I found this on Anne’s Facebook page. It was so amusing, but I have to agree. I love the wedding description she wrote for her fans [wedding des.]. It was fun and adorable, and keeping within context with the historical ruling in the US. I agree with her on this one and just her general positive attitude towards Lestat. It’s so easy to criticize him. Lestat he doesn’t make it easy. I get that.

AR: “Please, let’s be optimistic. Allow my Brat Prince some hope!” – I have a sneaking suspicion that it was just Lestat posing as AR.

The last comment gets me whiningforcenturies this was us yesterday….WAS IT NOT? WHERE IS THE LIE THO? Post from last night.

^I’m pissing myself laughing because the comment about how you can only cry so many happy tears in one night was me.
