ONE SONG: Edith Piaf, Hymne à l’Amour
TWO MOVIES: The Pianist, Spirited Away
THREE TV SHOWS: I confess that commercials limit my enjoyment of television, they’re an assault on the senses, but at any rate, I’ll choose shows I access through commercial-free means: Frasier, Poker Night in America, and Married w/ Children. There are moments when I completely understand Al Bundy, particularly under the onslaught of Peggy Bundy’s insatiable demand for physical affection *sighs*
FOUR ANIMALS: cats, cicadas (such music they make), horses, and Lestat. Oh, I can’t choose Lestat? The case could be made that he is an animal. I could provide second opinions on that. Alright, lions. *smirks*
FIVE FOODS: Coffee, tea, the scent of freshly baked bread, bananas are aesthetically pleasing, the sound of pistachio shells being cracked open.
(♛ Lestat here, darlings! Always happy to inform you of a few more of my favorite things *air kiss*)
one song: “You May Be Right” – Billy Joel, “You may be right/I may be crazy/Ho!/But it just may be a lunatic you’re looking for.” I relate to this song on a deeply spiritual level, mes petits.
two movies: The War of the Roses, (trust me on this, it is a beautiful unfurling of a divorcing couple that cannot seem to leave eachother), Dances with Wolves (will always be deeply moving).
three tv shows: ER (yes, it’s old, but so am I), Oz, the Daily Show (where else would I get my current events?)
four animals: dogs, dogs, dogs, dogs, okay, alright…. mastiffs, dalmations, german shepherds, irish setters *grins*
five foods: Seeing as I chose victim types the last time I did this… foods that I never got to try, and look intriguing to me by their smell, appearance, and/or texture: rocky road ice cream, vegan meat-substitutes like seitan, sushi (so artfully prepared, more sculpture than food), modern wedding cake with fondant icing, watermelon.
“gorgeous-fiend is such a phenomenal Lestat and I’ll always hold out hope that they return someday. Everyone should look through their archive and read their posts if they didn’t get to experience them when they were active.”
One Song: Just ONE? Johnny Cash’s cover of Hurt is sometimes too much for me, but it remains an absolute favorite. ‘What have I become, my sweetest friend?/Everyone I know goes away in the end…’
Two Movies: (I’ll skip the easy answer here, you know which movie I mean, and choose instead) American Beauty, and American Psycho. An appropriate pairing.
Three TV shows: SO many to choose from, I’ll go with the timeless classics: The Munsters, the Addams Family, Get Smart. These are classics, and I only regret I missed the era that they were made. Those first two have better family dynamics than many of the more recent TV series. Get Smart had enough technology (a shoe-phone before cellphones!), charm, and fashion to keep me riveted.
Four People: I am a people-person so this is intensely difficult. I’ll choose one rockstar: David Bowie, one lover: Louis (mon coeur), the intrepid journalist who helped reunite me w/ mon coeur, Daniel Molloy, and I should pick a chick, shouldn’t I? So… my Mommie Dearest, Gabrielle.
Five foods: Well. I am a picky eater but I guess: Drug dealers, pedophiles, serial killers, human traffickers, and jaywalkers (ok, not really that last one *smirks*)
Killing isn’t always enjoyable, you understand. It depends on who I’m dealing with. If it’s someone younger and already in a rather large amount of pain, I’m putting them out of their misery. I make it fast and quick. Minimal pain.
However, for the older ones that have done something unspeakable, I like to make their death last a little longer. Maximum suffering.
“I really like to see when people in this fandom do nice things for each other. It doesn’t happen often enough, and I think it could make a big difference if we were all a little more open to one another."
Hey, this is a blog of VC Fandom positivity! What a great idea. Go check it out.
