Hey liquorandptsdvarietyshow this Steve looks a little like you, mainly in the faceparts.

It may be the shades.

Every character I draw looks like me after a while. It’s about 50% shades and 50% about that he’s Irish.

I’ve often thought this about your art, too. And your writing. Your characters do resemble you. They have presence on the page, like all great actors. I haven’t had the chance to meet you IRL, I’ve only heard your voice, but I think I can state that YOU, by proxy through your works, have presence.

Gonna take a moment to sing your praises, please accept that it’s bc you do deserve praise:

I love your drawing style. Specifically, the sense of proportion and dimension of the bodies and clothing, the clean basics of settings, the expressiveness in the faces (even when trying to mask w/ aviators!) is magnetic and endearing.

The dialogue you give your characters is sharp and in character, opening up intriguing avenues of consideration framed in your headcanon. Even the font is visually appealing.

I’m sure I’m not alone in the wish for you to be able to sit and draw and write and snuggle in bed with fresh pizza and be financially stable (surplused would be even better!) and accept that you are loved and admired from afar by many people… and it’s not even the number of people who love and admire you that’s important here. It’s what we all have in common. Varying degrees of healthy addiction to YOU.

Isn’t that what Following is about? We follow people throughout different platforms (FB, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.) in order to be fed from those people who make us think, remind us to dream, give us that little jolt of pleasure at their latest creative output, thought, discussion topic, selfie…

So that’s why I follow you. I’d bet your other followers would say something similar. Or have more reasons. Both.

UM.

EM THAT IS A VERY NICE COMPLIMENT.

REPLETE WITH CUTE KITTIES (who are totally doing a Lestat/Louis thing, amirite?)

That’s really very lovely of you. It’s really unbelievably touching and sweet and nice. Thank you. And I think you’re right about following. My choices are usually informed by similar things.

*u* good! Exactly what I hoped you’d get out of it.

and yes they ARE doing a Lestat/Louis thing!

Like all living things, humans are bioluminescent (meaning we glow) – We glow brightest during the afternoon. – weirdinteresting & funny facts

what

i’ve been staring at this for like 5 minutes. so.. what. i don’t think people glow. but this is telling me that we actually emit visible light.. especially in the afternoon?? am i reading this right or what

“all living things” plants. when do the plants glow

science side of tumblr pls

I’m not from the science side of tumblr, but here’s the answer anyways:

Basically, all living things are bioluminescent because every living thing has chemical reactions occurring in their cells. The energy created from these chemical reactions physically manifests as light, thus… all living things naturally glow.

However, this glow cannot be seen by the human eye. In fact, the only way they’ve ever captured this light is through special cameras. Using these ultra special cameras, they’ve imaged subjects’ bodies over 24 hour periods. It has been found out that humans emit the most of this glow during the afternoon (about 4 PM), it is the weakest in the morning (about 10 AM), and the brightest light is emitted from the cheeks, neck, and forehead.

The light is about a thousand times weaker than what humans can perceive.

Basically, it’s a side effect of metabolic reactions. It’s been suspected that humans are bioluminescent for years, but they weren’t able to confirm it until recently thanks to technology and a man named Masaki Kobayashi from the Tohoku Institute of Technology.

if the phantom of the opera has taught me anything it’s that if all else fails you set the place on fire and cry

And if the Vampire Chronicles have taught me anything it’s that if all else fails, you set the place on fire and mope.

Yeah, pretty much!

We make fun of Louis for his pyromania so much hell I do it too!, but he was a plantation owner and that means slash & burn may have been part of the regular crop production. Setting fires was a step in standard operating procedure. Wiki says: “The resulting ash fertilizes the soil and the burned field is then planted at the beginning of the next rainy season with crops…”

But then you have this exchange from IWTV:

“ ‘Fire purifies …’ Claudia said. And I said, `No, fire merely destroys…’ ”

So yeah maybe it’s just the pyromania…
