His despair. His tragedy. I know it’s not for everyone but it is ABSOLUTELY for me. His desire to do things with the intent of perfectly harming other’s plans and hurting himself in the process. That he cuts off his nose to spite his face, I love that. It’s the way someone who so completely hates themselves that they hate life itself behaves. I love it. LOVE IT. He encapsulates one of my favorite elements of early VC: That people do what is wrong because they want to feel in control of something. That said, I utterly despise this in real life, HAHAHA.least favorite thing about them:
Perhaps that he was so brief? But in a way I’m glad he didn’t get any redemption. It’s not exactly easy to come back from that.

ELI AND OSKAR… Oh my god what can I say except I want them to be happy together forever. ; ;
Eli is given the ability to fly with strange membrane wings- but those wings are never discussed further in the book than when a passerby notices Eli take flight and has to duck. Much like Eli’s toes, which grow long for claws, I imagined bat wings and long fingers to be the solution here.
ANYWAY. I imagine Eli is being sneaky and swoops down after a hunt for a hug.
This was a 3 hour piece. 1 hour sketch and 2 hours rendering.
Armand is the gateway drug into VC. People watch the movie, they see art of the mysterious red head, and then they ask the person closest to them with a hook up into VC just who this ‘Armand fellow’ is.
Pretty sure three people have asked me this exact thing and I’m always trying to caution them about the book lengths and the nitty gritty messy of it all but
Much like any other fun drug
I’m secretly hoping they get just as hooked as me so we can ride that high together.
Let the Right One In sketch. UGH I loved the film, devoured the book, and just UGH. Loved it. ; ; Eli and Oskar broke my heart… Their friendship and love and belief in one another and just the sweetness of it all was so uplifting to read.
