Out of all the vampires in the Vampire Chronicles which one do you think has the most daddy issues? Random question I know but the thought just popped into my head. Maybe it’s the combination of loving your blog and loving that song called Daddy Issues by The Neighbourhood.

Who has the most âdaddy issues,â thatâs up for debate, and how you define daddy issues, and bc someone with daddy issues can show it in different ways.
VC has a ton of terrible parents, either theyâre neglectful, or abusive, or manipulative, etc. A lot of bad fathers, and thatâs not even counting bad makers. A bad or absent father can affect someoneâs future relationships with their significant others.
Daddy issues implies that a person had a father who:Â
- doted on them too much, maybe theyâre spoiled and have an enormous ego now; or
- ignored them or just wasnât there at all, so the person cries out for attention too much,Â
- and everything in between and so much more.
So Iâll open this up, anyone can reblog/comment about the daddy issues! Or maker issues.

I actually got this message 3 days ago, but I was neck-deep (hehehe!) in birthday messages for Lestat, so I felt like this could be answered a little later, when the dust his confetti settled.
⊠Little did I know that the sh*t would hit the fan so spectacularly here in the US⊠where am I going with this, you ask? Well, in the face of such stress and anxiety and and and⊠all the emotions one can have in this situation⊠itâs so good to know my face (figuratively and literally) is loved, fangs ân all, and Iâm still needed, and by unrelentingly plowing ahead, encouraging others to make – and making my own – fanworks, it can help us all get through this.
It isnât just escape into a fantasy world. Fandom is letting the fantasy world supplement us, bolster us, give us hope. Fandom is drawing our friends and loved ones as close as we can, even separated by massive distance, we can at least communicate with and support eachother.
Homework assignment to everyone out there: Reach out and send a lovely message like this to someone today â€

A Nicolas lover, hm? YOU ARE JUST IN TIME for my latest VC casting choice for him, and other ppl might not agree but whatever: Benedict Samuel was so great in The Walking Dead mid-season premiere this past wknd, he’s so Nicki!

He has everything Iâm looking for in a Nicolas: the right age, brooding, sassyness, vulnerability, big loving eyes, cruel and sweet humor, and he can phase between all these so quickly. The acting seems to come from a deep understanding of his characterâs motivations and emotional turbulence, waves overlapping the emotional palette.Â
Which canât all be captured in one gif, especially from the limited gif options out there. So hereâs one in which heâs obviously holding back from doing smtg, holding back the cynical comment that could destroy a room, hiding his vast darkness from whoeverâs in a 5 mile radius. Getting dressed to go against his will present the Marquisâ son w/ new boots and the red velvet cloak as payment for ridding their town of the wolf pack that was threatening everyone.
This shot below is from The Walking Dead, but it also looks like that one time Lestat used telekinesis on Nicki in TVL, slamming him into the wall with an invisible fist, neither of them knowing what heâd done, or how it happened, in their old dressing room at Renaudâs, soon to be the Theatre des Vampires.
The only real question is, can he play violin? Can he learn?
