ooc; Bring your booze and munchies, because we’re celebrating the 20th anniversary this weekend with an Interview with the Vampire rewatch.

I’ll be livestreaming Interview with the Vampire on Saturday, November 15 @ 7PM Central Standard Time/8PM Eastern Standard Time.  I’ll post the link to the stream probably at 6:50-ish.

Because Skype calls make things fun, if you’re wanting to participate in that along with the movie, please hit me up with your Skype name and I’ll add you into a group.  If you’re not so into that, there’s a nifty text chat on Livestream too.

Fanart/fic/RP etc. should be done with 100% pleasure, if possible *u* I know all too well that RL comes first. Siiiigh. I just want to have a bazillion dollars to spend entirely on commissioning fanworks. THAT’S what I’d spend it on! All my fave fic authors and artists. And gatherings so people could meet the fanwork creators.

Fandom needs people who create fanworks and also people who enjoy it. BOTH are important. Like performers and an audience, it’s a symbiotic relationship.

[I know you’re busy as hell right now with real life stuff so I just want to send you some virtual hugs and thank you for making all of the hilarious memes and graphics. They make me laugh so hard. <3]

If you are interested in where I’ve been, hit the jump…

I started a new job 2 weeks ago… the lead up to it was a month of difficulty, because I had to complete the interview process for the new place (3 interviews!), train my replacement, and tie up loose ends at my old job. Needless to say there were alot of unpaid late nights and I was too exhausted to do much fandom. 
And then, of course, Prince Lestat dropped. So I’ve been trying to read that slowly and painfully, to comb out little gems. There are bits and lines here and there that are actually good. I’ll be pulling them and sharing them at some point. If you guys think that entire book is a trainwreck, you’re not wrong, but I play the Devil’s Advocate about EVERYTHING, so this is included. I do see little glimmers of the Lestat we know and love in there… I’ll be sharing those bits when I can do so. 
Along those lines, I’m thinking of starting a new Dreamwidth account purely for my thoughts on PL and any other new books in the series… and I’ll link to new posts there. I owe you guys recaps of my PL read. 
Ya, so that’s my story! Thought you might want to know what happened to me. I still need to figure out a balance between fandom and RL. It’ll happen.

We exchange messages ooc daily, freaking out about Armand and Daniel, we send each other songs, pictures and fanart and we create headcanons together and start 32847297842 different amazing threads (so many good plots, so many) because apparently we can’t get enough of the ship. She’s funny and her Daniel is amazing, I just have so much fun with them and gosh, when she brings in the angst I can barely breathe. I love you, Satan. You’re amazing.

vagabonddaniel: Alright, you want to know a characteristic I cherish about them? Such a spot on Daniel. The things they write are canon worthy and I feel like they get Daniel like no one else, and as if it wasn’t enough they have an awesome grasp on Armand’s character as well and it causes me to be speechless every time I read a response to a meme or an ask that requires deep thoughts or flashbacks (and believe me, I’m hard to impress). I just love their writing and I might not know the mun very well but she is funny as fuck.

madness-waits-out-there: This is where my ship gets intense, every thread we have is so full of beautiful descriptions and feelings and I absolutely love it, with this Daniel I get, at the same time, the fluff and the violence in the characters relationship… it’s really vicious just like it is supposed to be and I love writing with them. Also, Daniel’s stubborn and bold side is shown and I deeply appreciate that! Ily darling.

molloy-reporterboy We haven’t interacted much but every time we do it in the small threads it makes me laugh, their Daniel is funny and childish and my gosh it drives Armand insane. I’d like to see more of them, though… maybe in the close future. xx

Good. Because it is obvious you aren’t wanted. Look at who you play with. Do any other Cannon chars even interact with your vapid armand? no, Because they know that you are a ridiculous excuse for this character. Stop[ trying to make him sweet and sympathetic and go rp my little pony or something because you have no place in a dandom like VC. And considering no other canon rpers play with you, you should have left a long time ago. Good riddance.

The amount of canon that you rp with doesn’t define your quality! There is no definition for quality, but if there was, you would be it.

I love your Armand, and i agree with How you play him. The bratty bit is over done, and frankly no fun. You are wanted. I want you here, you make my day and i would be crushed if you left tumblr. There are drafts i haven’t answered in like a week or so, but yours are at the top of my list even though it’s nit even been a day because i enjoy yours the most. You are a fantastic writer. You have a fantastic grasp on your muse, you are wonderful you are loved and this little bitch took time out of their day to send you hate. They are jealous, in fact, i bet they want to rp with you but somehow can’t and want to make you feel bad because they are a little bitch

 Life is too short, and we are here to have fun and share fandom love. Do you dislike the portrayal of a character? Fine. Don’t follow that RP blog. Did they ask for your criticism? No? Then keep it to yourself. 

If they asked for criticism, be constructive. Treat others how you would want to be treated. 

In the words of Jack Nicholson in Mars Attacks: “Why can’t we all just – get along?”
