(To: Lestat) What’d you get for Louis for Christmas?
♛ I must confess, Anonyme, that this response took me some time as Louis and I spent most of our conscious hours on Christmas Eve and the night thereafter in each other’s arms, either curled together on the couch by the fire reading favorite poetry aloud, lazing in the tub w/ those new bath soaps that tint liquid into a galaxy, tangled in the sheets… you get the idea. My arms and hands were quite unavailable for any social networking >;}
Last year’s gift was actually a big hit with him. It was William Harvey’s de Motu Cordis.
As for physical gifts, there are already too many holidays in the year that seem geared towards one or the other of us (Louis’s birthday merits the entire night revolving around him), beside the fact that we give each other little gifts year-round when the mood strikes us, as many couples do.
Most years I give him a number of gag gifts, anything to make him laugh out loud. Even an admonishing smirk is worth a particularly tasteless gift. Par example:

I don’t know what started this exchange, and sometimes there is no rational way to deal with anon hate, but I think villaxns is responding so well!
Can I just:
- Muse hog? What, like there’s a limit to the number of muns who can RP canon characters? Or is it a limit to the number of muses any one mun can portray? That makes sense, most authors can only handle 1 character at a time, right?! Puh-lease.
- Let me know where the muse # limit is posted so I can start informing the extra Lestats to quit effective immediately.
- Further, how do you know which extra RPers to cut? Oh! The ones that don’t respond quickly enough! Because quality RP is in SPEED and efficiency! We’re racing against the clock here, babycakes!
- What’s wrong with saying nice things? How do you know that mun doesn’t also MEAN them? You might try saying nice things, anon, even if you don’t mean them. Could start to feel more natural, with practice ;]
MOST importantly: if you don’t like a blog, UNFOLLOW IT. It’s that easy.

That is a point of vampire physiological debate actually, whether they DO breathe or not. Lestat Says Yes, Therefore it is Truth! … except maybe not. Maybe he thinks he’s breathing because he has to, but he may be doing it out of habit.
I feel like they would need to breathe for the air to go through properly for speech. Otherwise, wouldn’t they sound more like the breathless screeching vampires in 30 Days of Night?
there was a fic in which the vampires considered what would happen if they were in a coffin on a ship and the ship sunk. Would they still be conscious, trapped in their coffin? Presumably they wouldn’t die by drowning… hmmm…?
