♛ What a coincidence, visage gris, I am my OWN favorite, as well!

ikr?? Thank u! Just look at his face! that little twinkle of expectant hope in his eye! ;A;

So many thoughts on this one TEENSY ACTING MOMENT… feels like so much is conveyed in like 4 seconds. Mostly it’s someone who loves too much but can’t be open with the object of his affection, he’s holding back these secrets that
even if he were allowed to tell him (which he is not bc Marius threatened such intense retribution)would probably end up driving Louis away, if not crazy.
The “Don’t Fucking Cry” sentiment is smtg I got from Tony Stark, though. liquorandptsdvarietyshow is the one who enlightened me on the striking comparison that can be made of Lestat and Tony, and even Tony/Steve and Lestat/Louis. Not going to go into a lot of detail here on that. Maybe another time.
I definitely think Lestat would understand the whole “Stark men are made of Iron, and don’t show weakness, GRRRR” thing. He doesn’t particularly identify it as a de Lioncourt men trait, but he is a consummate actor, and he has built a beautiful shell to protect himself from the onslaught of shit happening some of which he brings on himself, of course, in the pursuit of doing good.
Deep down they both want to be loved and give love in return, and they struggle to make and maintain those connections while still wearing a suit, whether it’s made of iron or emotional barriers ;A;
First of all bc this is how an exchange would go between Lestat and Louis:
“Come in, Eagle One, this is Currently Doing That. Over.”
“Roger, Currently Doing That, what is your ETA? Over.”
“I should be there in about thirty minutes after I rendezvous with It Happened Once in a Dream and If I Had to Pick a Chick. Do you have Been There Done That with you? Over.”
“Sounds good, yes, I have Been There Done That and Eagle Two is on his way as well. Over.”
“Roger that. Currently Doing That: over and out.”
Let me explain u a thing: Well the “Eagle One” thing… he goes with Eagle bc it’s an American symbol of freedom and kickassery. It’s supposed to inspire patriotic and powerful feels.
So the “Eagle Two” thing is funny because… “Eagle One” starts us thinking everyone will just be numerical, like Eagle One, Eagle Two, Eagle Three, etc. but he immediately goes into these code names that are descriptions of how he feels about (or relates personally to) each member of the “team,” like “Been there done that” is someone he slept with, “It happened once in a dream” is like saying “I would be into you in a fantasy situation only”… and they’re all kinda negative in a way. Like ‘Ugh, well, “If I HAD to pick a chick” it would be Jesse.’ we all know Lestat is pansexual so that’s not as funny as it is in Parks & Rec bc Andy is meant to be straight.
When he hesitates on choosing a code name for that last person, it’s because he has no romantic feelings for (and doesn’t really have an opinion about) him, so “Eagle Two” is like, “Hmmm I am neutral towards you.” Which is better than something negative or crude. Hence, Daniel goes, “Thank God” bc he’s glad Lestat has spared him potential humiliation ;]
Especially humiliating to each other bc they’re expected to contact each other with these code names.

It’s from this scene in an ep of Parks & Recreation. Other fandoms had taken that dialogue and so it fell to me to bring it into the VC fandom ^_____^

♛ Ooooh I am so burned, almost as badly as when Louis does it literally! *fans self*
I throw glitter for fun. It’s unnecessary to “throw shade” at anyone when I am already centerstage, spotlighted brighter than the daylight. Overkill to push those in the shadows further into the dark, n’est-ce pas?
Why, that is an interesting question.
I cannot say it is impossible as for I have never tried to do such a thing – and I find it hard to believe one would as I cannot see a purpose on doing so. However, I personally find highly unlikely for such an attempt to be successful.
♛ Hope you don’t mind my adding to this, Marius. Our physiology has always intrigued me, too much to be tactful and pass up a chance to discuss it *winks*
Technically Louis and I both made our daughter together. In that sense, one can be made by more than one sire. It just usually happens that it’s a single one of us claiming a single mortal to bring over for love, or on orders of a higher ranking member, or as an heir (in my case)…
It’s not an exact science, it can go horridly wrong even if performed correctly. My darling Nicolas seemed, at first, to have been committed to a fate worse than death. I would not recommend the further complication of two (or more) makers.
However… in my latest novel…

ooc; So I finally finished Prince Lestat!!! Took me awhile. ANYWAY.
I won’t spoil anything here, but let’s just say that the idea of 2 makers at the same time is addressed. Sort of. It’s not directly answered but it’s addressed.
I think it could be done. Why not? Lestat has admitted that Marius’ multiple transfer procedure is a better one than Lestat’s usual method of blood taken from the mortal and transferred back only once. The fledgling is a vessel for blood that must be emptied and replenished a few times.

♛*chews at knuckles dramatically* Are you TRYING to torment me??! Plucking
at my very heartstrings! So inconsiderate. You
KNOW how much I adore that man. That creature of magnificent beauty and talent.
He might be my very spirit animal. He’s also a darling in person. *sighs* You
don’t want to see my LENGTHY wishlist of musicians, actors, writers, composers,
etc. that I would scoop into my arms and protect from Death. Unfortunately, one
can’t “people the world with vampires,” rockstars or no.
Besides, claiming anyone in
this manner does not guarantee that they will be happy about it afterwards. The
procedure is still not an exact science, it can lead to a fate worse than death.
This reminds me of an opera
singer… it might have been La Divina (Maria Callas) who, I believe, retired
from professional performance at the height of her career for a number of
reasons, among which: that her audiences might remember her at her best. That
is something of a beautiful thing to have the courage to do.
