You wanna know who looks like a younger Louis? Alex Saxon. Look at the pictures of him with long hair.

(sorry for the delay in reply!)

I spent awhile looking at pics and gifs of Alex Saxon, I’d never heard of him before, I don’t watch The Fosters, which I think most of the below gifs are from… and actually I think he’s more like my headcanon for Lestat than Louis, but either way, very cute! He has a real sweetness about him.

But to talk about the hair, bc I’m fixated on that…

^Nice volume and waves going on, nice generous mouth and smile…

^Good manbun, I think it would be better if it was higher up but still, works for me!

image

^really nice duck grease, which is my word for that kind of grease some ppl seem to produce (probably it’s product applied but sometimes it’s natural), that gives their hair a “piecey” or “feathered” kinda look.

image

^I just like this gif, nice face-framing pieces, and lower hair curlier/wavier than the top/crown areas.

^this is Lestatuesque to me.

^another nice smile ANYWAY I LIKE.

so i just started watching iwtv (finally lol) and oh my gods i want to love this but the casting hurts so much

I’m not sure if you’re referring to Antonio!Armand specifically but u probably are, and I know, I know… he is the fandom’s punching bag, I KNOW.

But consider perusing my #defending Antonio tag, where you will find my theories as to why they cast smne who isn’t remotely trying to be physically similar to the character described in the book (except for his wardrobe maybe?). His acting was still very true to the character so give him some credit for that. Very seductive of Louis. But yeah, Denis (played by

Louis Xavier Lewis-Smith) looks more like Armand should have looked:

The biggest reason for Antonio!Armand being that I think AR merged Santino and Armand for that movie bc of reasons. So treat him like Santino and that should lessen the pain *hugs*

i’m more talking about louis (havent encountered armand yet lol). louis’s acting is perfect but like appearance and voice wise he’s just not what i pictured in my head at all. im kinda iffy on lestat too, although he’s growing on me as the movie goes on.

claudia however is perf

Why does everyone consider you the more beautiful, I am as young and as pretty as you are!

amadeo-child-of-the-renaissance:

“I admit there were some mean replies sitting on the tip of my tongue… but I promised Marius I would be good, so: do they?
I can’t recall any description of me that includes the words ‘more beautiful than’ (there was the sentence ‘pretty as a girl’ for which somebody got rightfully punched).
This question sounds like a petulant child’s, so I’m guessing Rose?
On another note: my beauty has to compensate for my character. Why do you think I’m literally getting away with murder? I’m most certainly glad my sadism doesn’t show. So maybe the ‘innocence’ so many seem to see in my face (let’s be honest: I had 5 centuries to perfect that look) is enhanced when they notice what horrors I’m capable of? They see me and they think of a young boy, because my age doesn’t show and then they witness me being cruel and the shock of the discovery makes them wonder how my features don’t reflect it because people still link ‘evil’ to ‘ugly’ (at least now they don’t burn you on the stake for looking like a hag), so the discrepancy enhances certain perceptions?
That was a little philosophical, so let’s get to the ‘being nice’ part. I can feel Marius looking at me… Have you considered that each of us might simply possess their own kind of beauty? Personal preference exists and sometimes has little to do with age or being pretty. However- I advice you to ditch the person that told you to your face they find another more pretty than you are, since it was either them telling you they’re not interested or them being plainly mean. Unhealthy for your self-esteem in both cases, I’d say. If you ended up with that conclusion by yourself you should ask yourself why it is so important to you what others think of you.”
