“You stare at him, and he just stares right back. And that’s when the attack comes…

…The point is, you are alive when they start to eat you. So you know, try to show a little respect.”

Deleted scene – Only Lovers Left Alive dir. Jim Jarmusch (2014)

This Living Hand
This living hand, now warm and capable
Of earnest grasping, would, if it were cold
And in the icy silence of the tomb,
So haunt thy days and chill thy dreaming nights
That thou wouldst wish thine own heart dry of blood
So in my veins red life might stream again,
And thou be conscience-calmed—see here it is—
I hold it towards you.

-John Keats

I will never be okay with the fact that this wasn’t in the film.

reblogged your photo and added:

I want bloopers! And I think all those special features are on the regular DVD version of Interview with the Vampire that has been out for years.

I WANT THE BLOOPERS TOO. yes, all the BluRay special features are old, as far as I know :-

(this shot is not a blooper, but it was in the trailer and not the movie itself, an alternate shot was used.)

‘Interview with the Vampire: 20th Anniversary Edition’

No detailed specs yet. Special Features include:

  • NEW – Lestat, Louis, and the Vampire Phenomenon: A conversation with author Anne Rice about her influence on the new wave of vampires as heroes and anti-heroes.
  • Director’s Commentary with Neil Jordan
  • In the Shadow of the Vampire
  • Introduction by Anne Rice, Neil Jordan and Antonio Banderas
  • Theatrical Trailer

20 freakin’ years and they can’t include the deleted scenes.

I’m still pissed off about the lack of deleted scenes.

I’ve heard rumors of a bootleg extended cut occasionally turning up on ebay but I have never seen it, myself.

Someone must have this alleged bootleg extended cut, share with the class whether it even exists #plzkmerciàbientôt

Is there any fan fiction or fan art of Louis’ wife? I know he had a wife who died in childbirth in the movie. And is there any information about his wife?

Fanfic/fanart of Louis’ wife? No, not that I know of 😛 Most fic writers/artists base their fic/art on canon, not movie!IWTV in that regard.

In the IWTV script of April ‘92, 2nd draft (btw there are a number of cut lines and scenes that are in there, too), there is the mention of her name, and the child’s name:

I’m gonna make a wild headcanon that the angel statue over that grave was meant to resemble Dianne de Pointe du Lac.

Oh… about my issues with my fandoms… Is because there is so much love and I can handle everything… and hurts my kokoro ;__; Is something like… “I HATE YOU, BUT I LOVE YOU, BUT I HATE YOU! and so…. #DramaQueenModeON jajajajajaja And…. please… do you have idea where I could found all those pictures of the deleted escenes from IWTV ??? Some one ask me, and I have not Idea… so I came here to ask you… You Master Wizard of The VC Fandom <3

Yes, indeed, the VC canon and fandom will hit you #RIGHT IN THE FEELS ;]

Master Wizard of The VC Fandom? Wow, such title, much appreciate! No, I’m just lil ol’ Mater Fabuloso, at your service *curtsies*

OK so, Where TF are the pics of the deleted scenes??!

There are a few cut scenes/shots or alternate takes on the IWTV DVD, in the trailer for the movie. I’ve pulled a few out as gifs. Here’s a fresh one for you!

1st one is the alternate take, second is the shot used in the movie.

Where are the deleted scenes???

I have asked that myself for years. As far as I know there isn’t one place and none have been released on any DVD or Bluray edition, but I’ve collected many pics over time like this one:

They’re in my #cut scenes tag. That one and these, which you might also like, have stuff from other movies, too:
