I love how in all the books, regardless of whose talking Louis is described as ‘the pretty one’. Vampires in Anne Rice novels are all described as being beautiful in some way, death making them so. But in a supernatural world populated by Beauties, characters need to spend pages gushing about Louis looks. His utter bafflement at this and the other characters gushing make me laugh every time its brought up.
omg you must’ve looked wickedly cool. It’s an excellent combo. The girlier the lace, the grungier the leather, the better.
Re: it being an iconic moment: Oh I agree! It’s one of his most iconic moments in the movie, for sure, specifically bc it relates to fashion and a little bit about just being comfortable; bc when sleeves are bunched up like that it limits your range of motion, not good for driving but i digress. AND because we can see his hands are back to normal, he’s definitely feeling better already, and ready for another adventure… with Daniel this time!
Filed under: #gif #laces out #one of my fave moments in the movie for sure #delicately pulling the lace out of his sleeves #he knows its filthy #but its very dignified #like when he dusts himself off in front of the #children of darkness #refined and dapper even in filthy old lace #and that has to be Daniel’s leather jacket #bc hes not wearing it in the previous shot #and then he is #so i bet it was in the backseat or smtg #lestat #lestat de lioncourt #the vampire lestat
Wreck This Journal page of mine that I’m most fond of. I used a shimmery orange watercolor to smear my fingerprints down the page, then traced my hands atop and added all the elements to mimic a favorite vampire of mine.
( i-want-my-iwtv , I will be drawing more of the Brat Prince soon!)
romanchronicles is an OC vampiress with that exact problem! I can’t find the post she goes into detail about it, but that is basically what happened. I bet the mun and muse would love to entertain your questions/amusements about it.
…However, as far as Ricean vampires go, I don’t think that would be a problem at all, as they can cut their hair post-turning, and it grows back to the length it was when they died. Hence, they can cut out that bad dye job; and since dye doesn’t exist in the flesh itself, their hair would grow back fine!
The issue would be if someone had shaved their head before turning, bc their hair would stay that length after death 😛 Sorry Uncle Fester, it ain’t coming back.
