Willow saw her opportunity. Lestat was at his desk writing with the quill pens he so loved to use. ‘ Annoy Lestat scene one.’ She walked up to his desk and stared at him. When he paid her no mind she immediately decided to stretch on the side of his leg, claws unsheathed. It was her favorite way to start annoying the blonde and usually led to her hitting the ground running or sending a silent plea to Danny to be saved. Sometimes she would have to opt for Louis if Daniel wasn’t close.

♛ Lestat was in the middle of signing a stack of checks, making sure each one had his perfect flourish of a signature. Of course, normally, Louis would handle these financial details, but Lestat meant to keep these purchases secret – at least for now – and, as if sent on a mission, Louis’ little minion was here! Lestat could smell Louis’s scent on the animal, she must have enjoyed a recent cuddle. Infuriating.

“Lucky for you that I don’t snack in the house anymore… You mewling quim!” He smirked at himself, pleased at the little pop culture reference that only Daniel, had he been within earshot, would’ve truly appreciated. Lestat merely glanced at her with an arched brow… he rarely attempted to pet Willow. She would toy with him, letting him reach for her, before jumping away. Why did Louis insist on keeping these creatures that clawed at furniture, knocked over porcelain and glassware, and incessantly whined to be let out, only moments later to be heard crying out pitifully at the door begging for reentry??! Their habits were confounding. How Louis drew any love from the little beasts was similarly puzzling. Dogs were simply lovable, cats were an enigma at best. He grunted and attempted to ignore her.

Have you ever thought to seek another companion, other than Louise? Perhaps a female?

— Lestat here. Well, first of all, I must correct you, as you made a rather egregious misspelling of my “Forever Companion” ‘s name. Louis with an “e” is in fact the feminine version of his name. Tsk tsk.

That aside, yes, if you’ve read my books, you would be enriched with the knowledge that I have tried – several times – to make other companions. Always knowing that none could compare to him. I’ve made fleeting connections with others… David Talbot being someone I have plucked from the jaws of mortality to bring with me into the abyss of eternity, but even he and I never had the level of spark that lives between Louis and I whenever we are together. I can even feel it through his written words, even in the abbreviated communication of texting (and sexting when I can get him in the mood for it!) when we are apart.

It seems that Monsieur de Pointe du Lac is in fact, as the slang seems to go here, my “better half”, that we are an “OTP”. It’s not always rainbows and sparkles, as in any relationship, there are fights, there is space needed sometimes… of course, passionate reconciliation is often well worth that! We tear eachother to pieces, and fashion eachother to completion again.

So yes, he and I both have, from time to time, sought other companions. None have ever compared to what we have together.

I am sure that he would respond to your question similarly, albeit more concisely.

Claudia’s fingers reached out to gently fiddle with a lock of his blond hair. “We’re not so different you and I…” She found herself saying as she gazed at him gently and passionately.

Her touch was light but sent a calming ripple through him, and he nuzzled his cold cheek to hers in gratitude. In their earliest days together, Claudia had often boldly played with handfuls of his hair as she rode in his arms, or when they reclined together on a divan at home, discussing the evening plans. On this night Lestat needed her reassuring touch more than ever. Their argument just a few hours prior had been scathing, the two at odds over her decision to end her flute lessons.

Louis had not had been home to voice his opinion, but Lestat knew well enough what it would have been. Lestat had surrendered. He could no longer ignore the glint of her hungry eyes when he and Louis deposited her at these lessons, the manner in which they waved goodbye to her, inching closer together before the door closed, she knew these lessons were in fact a carefully plotted arranged absence. So that they could be alone together. So that they could have one another in a way that she could not.
“Mon ange,” he began, unable to say what needed to be said, “it’s our similarities that cause these fights, but also…” and he placed a kiss delicately on her lips, “what bring us together again.” He looked away, navigating the dark streets. They were almost at their destination.

Claudia lifted her head as she heard Lestat’s request but she didn’t like it very much. The glared down at the woman after she had pushed in to a chair only to cause her to topple over with the momentum. The scarf around the human’s neck kept her from her goal and of course that wouldn’t do. She loved to her them scream with fear, it reminded her why she liked to hunt so much, that and the blood. This woman deserved to make every scream that she made because of her actions. Just the thought caused Claudia to pull back her arm and slap her firm across the face. Leaving the woman stunned from the pain, a red and print left on her cheek as well as a cut. The smell practically made Claudia swoon but she knew better then that.

She quickly gripped the woman firmly and reluctantly dragged her across the floor to where Lestat requested. Of course she rushed to her husband once free which brought Claudia to Lestat’s side. She watched at the blood slipped down to woman’s cheek from her slap and couldn’t help but let another growl slip from her lips as her eye never left her. Once her gaze shifted to the man she could only feel herself fill with more anger. She knew what this man had done to those children just by pulling it from his mind. She didn’t think much of humans put for one to do such a thing to there own kind let alone a child was unforgivable. And of course the woman was no better.

At the sound of Lestat’s voice suddenly she glanced to him for a slit second before looking back to their prey.

“Non!” She said suddenly as she stepped from Lestat and toward the humans. “I don’t believe you deserve to say fair well to each other. Just this closeness you have now is enough.” She practically growled as she rushed forward and grabbed the drunken man before throwing him to the side and away from his wife. She didn’t care to look where she threw him so of course the sound of furniture breaking followed along with the sound of the woman’s crys of worry.

She turned back to the woman and pointed a finger at her. “Now now.” She began as a wicked smirk settled on her lips. “I haven’t even began to make you scream woman.” She reached forward quickly which cause the woman’s hands to go up in defense but that didn’t stop Claudia. She grabbed the woman by the back of her hair and pulled her forward away from the wall. “I’m going to make you feel exactly how you made those kid feel. Defenseless, weak, terrified, small…” She rambled as she stared into the eyes of the weeping begging woman. “How does it feel to be destroyed by the face of something you destroyed?”

The moment that Claudia showed her true preternatural strength with the evening’s victim was a moment Lestat always savored, his heart swelling with pride. Claudia’s control of the quivering beast of a woman proved to these despicable mortals that they were in fact at the end of their miserable lives. Amidst this dawning realization, Lestat also sensed from both of them that they wouldn’t leave this world without a fight. Delicious…

The scent of blood in the air was undeniably arousing, stirring his own need. The night was late, it had taken longer than expected to travel this distance, and the thirst pricked at him like deft fingers plucking at the strings of a violin. He gripped the arm of his chair, hard enough to splinter the wood, as Claudia stepped forward, spoke out. The tension in the air, combined with that slick red shine mere feet away, just under blazingly hateful eyes, proved too much for Claudia and she again attacked, quite without permission. Lestat had wanted to toy with these victims, but no matter, it was just as much amusement to watch Infant Death carry out the act in front of him.

Lestat also leaped forward, wrestling the husband flat on his back, from where he had been tossed some distance away by the strong little fledgling. The cursing from wet lips, spittle decorating the lapels of Lestat’s coat, rapidly became begging and pleading for his own life.

“Oh, just you? We should spare you and not Madame? Oh I couldn’t have guessed that you would, or could, be more vile than we already knew of you! What makes someone as horrible as you? Ah, don’t answer… I’ll find out myself…” and with that, he roughly tore away the fabric and sank his fangs into soft flesh.

Claudia’s voice in the room, threatening the woman, provided a perfect musical accompaniment to his meal. How lovely to have the very words he would have said, spoken aloud by the purest voice: “I haven’t even began to make you scream woman… I’m going to make you feel exactly how you made those kid feel. Defenseless, weak, terrified, small…How does it feel to be destroyed by the face of something you destroyed?” Was hunting alone ever as thrilling as this? He considered Paris… not merely the name of a place anymore but of a time period fraught with pain and pleasure… Gabrielle had found this type of drawn-out performance to be distasteful. She was certainly missing out.

Images from his victim began to pour into focus, weaving a story of a wasted life, petty annoyances, brutal crimes, combined with the drenching satisfaction of the blood itself, with the enveloping rush of the liquor adding a peculiar and familiar weight to Lestat’s fingertips as he massaged the flesh beneath him. This was a preferred position, straddling the man on the floor, with the victim propped against a peeling wall. So preoccupied with own thoughts and feeding, he only now caught the image of a blade appearing in the woman’s hand from the sparks of decision in her mind.

He broke free from his victim, mouth dripping thick crimson, and saw the flash of the dagger the woman was now using to try to stab herself free of his beautiful child! The liquor had slowed his movements, and Lestat shouted for Claudia, scrambled to reach her side, as Claudia cried out in pain.

Claudia’s fingers reached out to gently fiddle with a lock of his blond hair. “We’re not so different you and I…” She found herself saying as she gazed at him gently and passionately.

She hated their fights  because when they fought it was never just a simple argument. They were to stubborn and each of them always thought that they were right, wouldn’t settle for nothing more. She wasn’t ignorant, she knew what happen when she wasn’t looking or wasn’t around. She refused to think about it.

She loved her sires and wouldn’t ask for any other but at times she hated it all. She wasn’t a child and refused to be treated as such. But that wasn’t the point of this night.

He’s words were nothing but fact and she knew them to be true for she had thought the same thing several times before. They feel of his lips against her’s softened her expression as she clung to his hand. He was the only man she could hate one moment and love the next. There relationship was a roller coaster and she refused to get off just yet.

She looked to where they were going as she shifted to walk closer beside him. “Yes….what brings us together ma cher…” With him it was hard to tell where they were going. He never said so she was left in curiosity. All she could do was hope it was a nice place thought wouldn’t start another argument.

Lestat saw the distant look in her eye, chilling. It was jarring still to see the changes in her, expressions that a child would never feel, fleeting across her face as clouds covering the clear night sky. He swept her up into his arms. Easily holding the bundle of fabric and small body, he mused that most of the mass of pastel taffeta, ribbons, and velour cape was greater than Claudia herself.

He rapped on the peeling door of the shabby shotgun house and when it opened, the light of a grimy fireplace and cheap oil lamps spilled out onto the pair. A greasy older woman, pawing at her clothes, did not even deign to say Good Evening, but merely stood menacingly in the doorframe. This hag was a child trafficker Lestat had been tracking, and she eyed Claudia up, quickly appraising the child’s worth.

“Madame, my daughter and I saw you with some children a few nights ago, and we believe that they do not belong to you… ” Lestat said, pushing his way into the stuffy dwelling.

Claudia’s arms slipped around Lestat naturally as they always did when he picked her up. You’d think that the little woman would like such jesters of treating her like a child but in fact she liked being carried. It allowed her to be close to the other, resting against as she clung close. She leaned against Lestat’s body as she smiled at him. One of her hands naturally moving to slip through his hair.

The moment she layed eye on the woman at the other side of the door she knew exactly what was going on. They way the woman looked at Claudia and the thought she could pull from the human’s mind angered her. Her grip tightened on Lestat as her gaze narrowed and a low growl sounded from her closed lips.

She pushed from Lestat as he entered the home and practically jumped from his arms onto the ground.

Ah, one brief embrace from his little angel was all he needed to steel himself for the night’s performance. Evildoers do taste better, but this breed are hardly worthy of our sophisticated palate, he thought with a frown. However, he couldn’t help but smile broadly with pride as Claudia leapt away from him, cat-like, and moved towards the woman with balletic grace. Shutting the front door behind him, Lestat made his way to the man of the house, just now waking from his boozey rest by the fire.

“Claudia, cherie, please bring Madame over to her husband, for a last goodnight kiss.” Lestat called to her. Claudia had already pushed the coarse hag backwards into a chair in the kitchen with plenty of kitchenware knocked over in the struggle, and was in the process of tearing away a filthy scarf with a strength that drove her victim into the most pathetic squealing, cursing, and flailing of limbs.

Smiling sweetly, Claudia drew back an arm and delivered a stinging slap to her victim’s flabby face, stunning her mid-scream, and dropped back down to the floor. Marching into the parlor, Claudia dragged a rather recalcitrant adult behind her, a small hand forming an iron grip on two large fingers of a clammy hand. The woman could tell that attempting to free herself would cost those very fingers.

Lestat motioned for the woman to sit beside her husband and he took a seat across from the pair. Claudia stood beside him, barely restrained from her desire. The man rubbed his eyes vigorously, hairy knuckles rolling against unruly eyebrows, and glared at the the finer pair, their cleanliness glowing like gems in the dim light.

Assuming a relaxed posture, Lestat advised his dinner: “Now would be the time for a last drink, or a goodbye to your better half, Madame. I’m afraid that your uppance has come.”

Claudia’s fingers reached out to gently fiddle with a lock of his blond hair. “We’re not so different you and I…” She found herself saying as she gazed at him gently and passionately.

I would really like to rp with you but i’m a little worried to bother you. It seems like you only reply to certain threads or not at all and I don’t want to bother you.

ooc;; Ack— I knew this was going to come up sooner or later even though I hoped it wouldn’t. There is only so much I can do when it comes to roleplaying. With not a lot of time to spare [ working three jobs and all that fun stuff ] and monitoring carpal tunnel [ since I need my hands for animation ] I can’t respond to everything. I would love to, but I can’t.

Yes, I can be a bit selective only because of the amount of time I have to enjoy roleplaying and what I can do without straining myself. I also judge a thread based on, what I personally think, would be a successful interaction. I will be honest that I have had some replies where they literally brought the thread to a grinding halt with their first reply. I didn’t know how to respond without it seeming like I’m dragging them by the hair to make them help the interaction progress, you know? I don’t want to spend my time struggling with trying to get interactions to work.

Some days I feel like replying to asks only. Some days I feel like replying to certain people. It happens because everyone does it, m’dear. We’re all in the same boat, you know? But you shouldn’t let this stop you from RPing with me. There’s only so much I can do and I’m sorry if this seems off putting to some of you.

mortcharmant: #{ PSA } #[ TAKE NOTE I’M NOT ANGRY OR ANYTHING BUT I’M PUTTING OUT JUST HOW I FEEL AND WHY I DO WHAT I DO ] #[ SO DON’T BE UPSET BY THIS POST ANON ]

So if I decide to RP more, this is my policy, too bc it is a fine policy ^______^

I-want-my-iwtv is RPing holy shit!!!1!1

Just FYI, I’m RPing a teeensy teensy bit, as Lestat. I have a teensy thread going with claudiaindarkness, if she feels like continuing it, but I cannot take on new threads right now… maybe a with a FEW other ppl… the tag for it is iwantmyiwtv RP.

So I’m terribly elitist and exclusive, I’m sorry, but I have a hard enough time as it is being on tumblr and having a day job, so please be patient, don’t get all mad at me. I might not be able to handle even a teensy bit of RPing. We’ll see.

I think I’ll take Asks as Lestat, tho. So you can send those ;}
