If you haven’t already you should seriously check out this japanese singer kamijo…he has a song called louis but the look he channels is pure lestat (heart is really good too tbh) I recently found him and when I did I legit screamed.

Oh yes, I have heard of Kamijo! He is a huge VC fan.

@nocturneprince-blog informed us about a year ago that:

the Louis concept album is about the french revolution, according to kamijo’s interviews. it’s not about ITWV’s Louis. Idk the lyrics because I don’t speak japanese but the interviews def. have him saying it’s meant to be the monarch, not the vampire.

HOWEVER, Kamijo has said that he’s a huge fan of Lestat. IMO if you watch Versailles “Ascendead Master” PV you can really see the Anne Rice influence! Kamijo is to blame for my vampire chronicles obsession. XD

Very few of Kamijo’s lyrics are about sex (or if they are, they are subtle), but like, I’d say a good 50% of them, in both his solo work and with Versailles are about VAMPIRES. IMO I’d cast him as Lestat. I don’t even care that he can’t speak english.

Exploring the darkness 2/?

A memorable scene of Lestat finding piles of blond haired corpses in Magnus’ tower.
Bodies were collected from various 19th century French paintings and arranged into an almost ornamental composition. The main source of inspiration being of course Gericault (The Raft of Medusa and studies). As in his works, the drawing explores the fragility of human body and the limits of human desperation when it comes to surviving.

“In a deep prison cell lay a heap of corpses in all states of decay, the bones and rotted flesh crawling with worms and insects. Rats ran from the light of the torch, brushing past my legs as they made for the stairs. And my nausea became a knot in my throat. The stench suffocated me.

But I couldn’t stop staring at these bodies. There was something important here, something terribly important, to be realized. And it came to me suddenly that all these dead victims had been men – their boots and ragged clothing gave evidence of that – and every single one of them had yellow hair, very much like my own hair. The few who had features left appeared to be young men, tall, slight of build. And the most recent occupant here – the wet and reeking corpse that lay with its arms outstretched through the bars – so resembled me that he might have been a brother.” – The Vampire Lestat

The suit I made for iasg to wear in the fashion show fits my little sister!

Earlier this week she asked me what she should be for Halloween and I said “Lestat!” She hasn’t even seen Interview With The Vampire, but she likes the suit and has wavy blonde hair, so she’s going as Lestat.

(I know it doesn’t look exactly like what he wore in the movies, but it’s the right era and quite close to his colour scheme. Pretty darn good for something I already had in my closet!)

I had forgotten about this but she didn’t end up wearing it on Halloween. Said it wasn’t comfortable enough to wear for that many hours.

She may not know him but she’s got the posing right *u*

^it doesn’t even matter what Lestat’s thinking about this cosplayer, he should be shot down regardless.
