GTA Vice City : San Francisco Edition – A slight recut of the final scene
YOU MAKE A GOOD POINT, HOW THE HELL DOES LESTAT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE??? DID HE HAVE TO GO TO DRIVERS’ ED? DID HE MAKE LOUIS TEACH HIM? HOW DID LOUIS LEARN? CAN ANY OF THEM DRIVE? DAVID, GABRIELLE AND LESTAT ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT DO IN THE BOOK, OH MY GOSH I NEED TO KNOW.
Well somewhere in the series – I think TVL? – Lestat says that vampiring makes learning things much faster, he learned to read and write just by watching the transcriber do it for him long enough. Same with technology and modern inventions.
In movie!IWTV, he was watching Daniel from the backseat for at least a mile or two before they got on the bridge.
That makes more sense, but its a lot less entertaining than thinking about them wrecking their way through the cities trying to drive.
Yep, I made this
gif set thinking “oh, it would be fun if Lestat drove and reacted like a GTA’s
player”. I’m very surprised, and most of all delighted, that it’s
generating so many constructive
reactions. You’re amazing, people of the vc fandom, and it’s always a pleasure to read you!
Remember how I said that Lestat and Claudia’s final conversation was my 2nd favorite scene from the movie. Well everyone, this is it. My favorite scene from the Interview with the Vampire movie and there are so many reasons why. Some of them are mentioned above like: how the hell does Lestat even know how to drive??? but what really gets me is that Lestat was like camping out in this guys car the whole damn movie. He was just sitting there as Louis dictated his life to Daniel and restrained himself from jumping into the room and saying ‘EXCUSE ME THAT IS NOT HOW IT HAPPENED LOUIS.’ and then proceeding to tell the nice man the REAL story. Seriously what is going through Lestat’s head this entire scene? I don’t know but I need someone to write something on it. Frankly this is one of the most ridiculous and funny scenes in the movie but for all its OOC-ness I can’t say with a clear conscious that it wasn’t immensely amusing to watch.
^Yes, #fanfic request or #fanart request. I bolded what we need. Someone plz feel free to #DO THE THING.
But in chronological order. Like, you start way back with Akasha and Enkil in season 1 and work your way down the timeline and so get to see how all these different stories and characters intertwine over the centuries
takemetocoffin-or-losemeforever tagged: #yes yes and yes #for now I’d be more than happy with a IWTV honest trailer #but a TV show would be soooo great #nobody works for a tv network or something like that around here?
Yasss, agreed w/ Takemetocoffin, and aliceallanpoe, may I add: #PREACH #just don’t let anyone who worked on the QOTD movie anywhere near this okwe already had one flop thanks
“Do you know what I think about crying? I think some people have to learn to do it. But once you learn, once you know how to really cry, there’s nothing quite like it. I feel sorry for those who don’t know the trick. It’s like whistling or singing.”
♛This is a true confession, in the sense of a longing to reveal it to the one you care about. Strange, isn’t it, that there are different kinds of love, and that we can feel it for our friends as intensely as for our lovers?
Best friends are family members who we choose, and want to keep in our lives. It seems that fate brings them to us just when we need them. You look over at them from across the couch and think, “How did I get to be so lucky to end up with this incredible creature by my side?!” The same can be said for lovers.
If you really do have these feelings for your best friend, the feelings may be mutual. They may not. Is it worth risking losing the friendship over? That’s a question you have to ask yourself. No one can advise you.
Some of the strongest loving relationships have foundations in trusting, close friendships. Certainly Nicki and I had that. I’ll forever mourn the loss of “our conversation,” which later involved communicating in an entirely new way. There are certain… things… we did together that I’ve done with no one else since, and never will. One might say he was the first person who ever really listened to me, and wanted to share with me in return. Through getting to know each other, we were drawn closer and closer… he was the first person to be curious about and love what was inside of me, on a long-term basis. I thought I knew what was inside of him, and I loved what I found there. Intimacy followed naturally.
In contrast, Louis and I had precious little time in the beginning. He would have died if I had waited even one more night. I thought we might be immediately bonded with the Dark Gift. The shock of it and his nature was, unexpectedly, a huge obstacle for him, and those first few years, what really held us together was our lingering – and mostly restrained – desire for the each other. We struggled through and became friends slowly. Then best friends. Then lovers.
We defy titles. Definitely not two halves of one whole, although I do like to refer to him publicly as “my better half” occasionally, just to tease him *smirks*
Maybe that’s the point I’m trying to make. Do you and your friend seek to draw closer to the inner core of each other? You may need to wait for a sign that they want that, too.
Well you’ve left me a convenient little loophole in your misspelling! Who is this “Luis?” I don’t know him, hopefully he’s an evildoer… bc I have to throw one of them under the bus.
Kill: Luis! Bc you misspelled his name I can pretend it’s someone else entirely bwahahahaa…. (If this were our actual beloved Louis, perfect-cinnamon-roll-too-good-for-this-world, I don’t think I could kill him, I doubt Lestat would want to fuck OR marry me after doing that. If you really insist it’s OUR LOUIS, I’ll have to revise all my answers.)
Fuck: Lestat, bc of reasons, no, really, bc he must be super talented in the bedroom (or the kitchen, or the alleyway, or the floor, wherever there’s a good solid surface really). I probably couldn’t keep up the kind of energy requirement he would need tho. He’s studied the Kama Sutra. He’d probably end up killing me… exhaustion-related death… Death by ecstasy? The French call the orgasm ‘La petite mort”; “the Little Death.” I imagine this would be like the Big Death *swoons*
Marry: Gabrielle. Honestly she seems like a good roommate (when she is around), we’d probably share similar taste in literature and such, she’s taller than me but we might be able to share some wardrobe staples. I like that it could sometimes be a long-distance marriage, she can go off exploring and I’ll hold down the fort. I’m sure the marriage would be an open one, platonic between us since I am a straight gal, and considering I’d fucked her son. She doesn’t want his leftovers 😛 even as excellent as this leftover would be if this leftover survived it ;D
