“Are you unhappy, darling?” “Oh yes, yes! Completely.”
Month before last someone on my Patreon requested Addams Family AU for the Murder Family and I love it ;w; Will is an ancient warlock full of dark and powerful magic and Hannibal is still a creepy serial killer who can’t get enough of his husband and Abigail is their daughter who keeps losing her head~ Extra points if you recognize Thing~

“On the plate, the tarts are menacing, a pastry spear jutting out of it. That is Poon’s design.“I want to create as much fear as possible on the plate,” she says.
“I keep reminding people these plates are made from bone china. It’s
called bone china because it’s bone, ground up. Everything is life and
death.”
My best friend is obsessed with Hannibal so we are going to the Feeding Hannibal dinner in Toronto on 10/25! Anyone else going? THERE WILL BE PICTURES.

Murder Family AU-Vampire Chronicles.
“We are her fathers now” That is what Hannibal said to Will…and I could not help but remember what happened in “Interview with the vampire” Lestat said “I’m Lestat, we’re your new fathers now.” -talking about him and Louis-.
The resemblance is amazing,at least for me…I mean …they are a family, with two fathers, we all know that Hannibal and Lestat did that to make a bond…both characters are manipulative little shits. Some reference pictures:
This is one of the best things I read all week.

YES. Also: ”The function of fiction is being lost in the conversation on violence. My book editor, Sean McDonald, thinks of it as “radical empathy.” Fiction, like any other form of art, is there to consider aspects of the real world in the ways that simple objective views can’t — from the inside. We cannot Other characters when we are seeing the world from the inside of their skulls. This is the great success of Thomas Harris’s Hannibal Lecter, both in print and as so richly embodied by Mads Mikkelsen in the Hannibal television series: For every three scary, strange things we discover about him, there is one thing that we can relate to. The Other is revealed as a damaged or alienated human, and we learn something about the roots of violence and the traps of horror.”
RADICAL EMPATHY, WHAT A GOOD
Am I the only goth who is really uncomfortable with “Hannibal” due to the horrible transmisogyny in “Silence of the Lambs”?
I think you have to consider Silence of the Lambs was written in 1988 and the knowledge the general public had about transsexuals let alone their attitude towards them was a whole different ball game than it is today. Thomas Harris, for the crassness on how the subject is treated, does a decent job of explaining that being transsexual does not make one a serial killer considering the time era.
All great works of art are products of their time and will reflect that. You learn to acknowledge without it getting in the way of your enjoyment. Just like other great works of literature reflect the racist and sexist time era they were written in but that doesn’t devalue their significance.
what if hannibal told cheesy jokes instead of implying cannibalism?
The Vampire Lestat would appreciate the hell out of those jokes, that’s what.
if one could maybe be induced to eat the other? i might watch this show
#i’m guessing vampire chap could win against Dr Lector in a fight
I reckon so, but Lestat might be inclined to play with him for a while first, and Lector wouldn’t make it easy for him.
Dammit, I’d pay money to see/read this. Where is the fanfic on this topic? AO3 only has this, which isn’t quite what I’m looking for but does include the following lines:
“Look, Dr. Lecter, I checked you out. You are an expensive psychiatrist so you must be good. I needed an appointment right away and you were all booked up, so I improvised. Did you hear me say I was a vampire?”
“Yes, I’m Lithuanian, not deaf.”
and:
Hannibal fumes silently. He needs to be careful until he knows what this disturbed and disturbing creature has done with Will. Hannibal no longer doubts he is indeed sitting across from a real vampire. He also
acknowledges since Lestat is already dead he won’t even taste very good…ok, what? that sounds amazing.. vampire fop needs an appointment asap, so he books himself in, and Dr L just snarks at him? excellent
“And you are stressing me out, Doctor Lecter. Do you really want to antagonize a stressed out vampire? What is to be done about that?” – Interview with a Cannibal or Appointment with a Vampire
THIS IS GR9 I LOVE IT!
